Problem is, who's the supposed great talent that they would be passing up to fill a need? Imo, the highest ceiling/most unique talent picks at our range also happen to be at positions of need lol

Has always been a no brainer pick for me. Would like to see a reported workout to get my hopes even higher.

I mean, a back up 3/4 and back up center isn't too bad if the plan is to stay the course in the Jimmy build. Give it another go I guess.

Whats the status of our pick next year? Its lottery protect right? But we lose picks in the future? If true, next year might be make or break for this build. If we don't even make the play in next season (which is possible based on our last 2 seasons), it might really hurt our ability to rebuild.

Jaylon Tyson is nice. I like his ballhandling/playmaking at the wing position. He’s more talented than Jaquez IMO

Really liking Dadiet’s game and blend of skills for a 18 year old prospect. Always so tricky to evaluate euro prospects when young guys get limited minutes and I have little sense for which leagues are most competitive.

I’m a sucker for prospects that came up as PGs then had a late growth spurt. Def think his shooting is for real. Strong handle, great frame. I def dig that the Heat worked him out.

Do we think there's a chance of him being there at 43? Great development piece at that pick

Another thing I appreciate about Edey is dude wants to score. He's all about them buckets. If you're in need of high efficiency scoring, he could be your guy.

Gotta get more familiar with his game. Young euro prospects are always a trickier eval for me

Could be a nice 2nd rd pickup if he slips to 43.

I don't believe that's how things are trending for Dadiet.

From my early look, I'm seeing a comparable prospect to Kyshawn George, with better athletic upside

Both guys look intriguing, but they don't seem like "win now" guys. My guess is we'll try to pick another guy like Jaime that we feel can help now rather than worrying about ceilings.

A mistake IMO but ...

Lol yeah he's great at everything the heat is bad at. Rebounding, length, interior scoring, drawing fouls. Just brings a whole new dimension to the team if they picked him. Plus he'd definitely be the typical, heat fans hate the pick type pick lol

No chance IMO. From everything I'm seeing he should be expected to firmly be a 1st round pick and I'd bet that's what the Heat worked him out for. He has Jaylon Tyson's frame (+4.5" standing reach) while the 4th youngest player in the draft. Dude can end up a 230+ pound wing with athleticism, a handle and a natural shooting stroke.

The more I look into him, the more I see a very enticing blend of steady floor and high ceiling.

Seeing quite the buzz on here for him. Haven't seen much hate among heat fans tbh

That is probably Da Silva. Ironically I think is a bit of a waste of a pick for the Heat. Because he is a low ceiling pick, it's not at a position of need, and he doesn't address any if the Heat's weaknesses.

He'll turn 24 during his rookie season. He's not a high level creator, he's not a high level playmaker, he's not a high level rebounder, he's not particularly strong, he's not particularly long. He's not gonna defend the point of attack for extended periods and he's not going to defend true centers for extended periods.

On top of all this, the things he does bring (shooting, switchy defense, ball movement, bbiq), aren't unique to him. Jaime, Jovic, Highsmith, Jamal Cain (maybe) and various 2nd rounders/undrafted prospects like Dillion Jones, Keshad Johnson, or Jaylin Williams all bring similar skills or can developed to bring those skills soon.

Unless we think he's gonna suddenly leapfrog over Jovic or Jaime, Da Silva on the Heat as they are now is just a depth piece.

Heat fans on reddit and Twitter hate em. Idk what Facebook heat fans want, I avoid those guys for a reason lol

I can already see him in a Heat uniform. Pat will let Spo worry about what to do with him.
