I think he’ll be fine but will probably need 2-3 years to get into the rotation, but yeah the team has been spoiled with successes in the 1st round for a long time. Considering even Precious ended up being a rotation player for NYK, only Justise has actually been a full-on bust in recent memory.

He's shaping up to be the biggest bust in the draft at this rate. Hope he continues improving.

Not the end of the world the Sioux Falls games are going to be funner to watch this year. This dude has miles to go before he gets meaningful time in games, he has even farther to go before he is an NBA point guard.

maybe it is a good thing the team is not going to pencil his name onto the roster in any sort of way that it would effect roster construction.

It seems like the last few years have fallen apart due to PG depth going down, it would suck if the Heat missed adding PG depth because we thought we had a solution in house..only to find out he looked like this.

With our guy being maybe the 4th or 5th best PG we have had on the summer league roster in the last 3 or 4 years....surely .....we have no delusions on the need to uncover or add a legit NBA point guard to this roster.....this fella can't be the right now solution.

one game overraction perhaps but Keshad Johnson! He should get all the minutes at backup 4. Also Ware disrupted the other team just with his presence. Need one of these other bigs to grab the last spot. Dainja has been working the hardest to punish down low. Ballo looks huge but plays small. Settle has not been playing his game, we dont need passives that disappear on both ends, he does not look comfortable at all. Maybe Goldin maybe but Dainja so far.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I think he is struggling with the athleticism and speed of the game, and not from a lack of skill.

We knew he had athletic limitations, so now he needs to learn to adapt and not worry about turnovers and missed shots.

Wayne Simien, KZ Okpala, Justise Winslow, Dorell Wright and Jarvis Varnado didn't look this bad. :nonono:

Dorell dropped 30 in his first Summer League game from memory. Thought we had baby TMac brewing. Was happy for him when he finally did break out in Golden State.

Jarvis Varnado. There's a name I haven't though about in a minute. Thought he was gonna be something for sure - had elite shot blocking tools but not much else sadly.

Wayne SImien would've been nice if not for the health issues. He would've been UD-like.

Justise is a what might have been, KZ is a what never was.

For the record, I still like Dalton as a nice rotation piece and bench scorer.

He and Jared McCain were my guys.

1. The reports of Kasper's demise are greatly exaggerated, as the quote goes.

He's 19 and his shot isn't falling, chit happens. I think just like Jovic, he'll need a year to get himself ready to the Pros. You can see the limitations but i also see the IQ and passing. His FT% make you hope he become a very good shooter, and his game will be centered around his shooting.

2. With that said - The reason I wanted Nolan Traore is because I believe in getting guys with a clear physical or skill advantage. Traore has a great first step. Now. ready to go. Once you have that anchor - that one elite thing that separates you, gives you confidence and is consistently useful - you can more easily improve the rest of your game around it.

Kasper doesn't have that 1 elite thing to rely on. He's a jack of all trades, master of none. And at the moment, especially with shots not going in - he looks lost. I'll give him a year in Skyforce and hope he figures it out, he can still be a good pick.

What happened to Dru Smith?

ACL and Achilles in back to back years. Also still has not signed his two way contract

I can't imagine that he has options.

Ouch.

Ware...averaged 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 27.5 minutes per appearance while shooting 9 of 24 (37.5%) from the field and 1 of 8 (12.5%) from three-point range over his first two summer league games this year.

Larsson... has averaged 16.5 points, four rebounds and two assists per game while shooting 9-of-22 (40.9%) shooting from the field, 1-of-7 (14.3%) shooting from behind the arc and 14-of-16 (87.5%) from the foul line in his first two summer league games this year.

Iv been keeping quiet on Jakucionis. He is struggling in a variety of basic skills in these 3 games. The main problem which was one of my concerns when drafting him, is he cant beat anyone off the dribble. Untill he figures out that, nothing else matters.

Not a draft guy but I liked WCJ and Traore and liked Topic last year. Really eager to watch those 3 guards and see if they can play at this level.

Conversely, for the record, I hated the KJ pick and was unenthusiastic about drafting Ware.
