Is it that big of a loss? Shouldn't we consider the fact that every other team passed on him and he dropped to the second round for some legitimate reason? Denver is the same team that took a chance on Michael Porter last year so it's likely they only took Bol Bol because they want to roll the dice even though they probably know he's a high-risk pick too.

Rationalizing:

Maybe Bol's personality wouldn't mesh well with this team. We dealt with Whiteside who also has immaturity issues and you see how much we want him out the door despite his talent.

Plus, knowing how hard the coaching staff works their players into Heat shape, many people can't handle it, especially those with lower leg injuries.
Spo loves positionless players and Bol is obviously a C only.

We may have dodge a bullet....

But it was the 44th pick Dammit
