Whatever.

I don't know why this bothers me but it does lol. Loved that aircraft silhouette on the roof that you could see when flying into MIA

IMO this is the direction the Heat will explore. Sign Lowry 2 yrs 50 mill. Robinson 4 yrs 50 mill. Sign and trade Nunn. Where, I am not sure. But it would be wise to get a stretch big. Maybe Gallinari can be re-explored? Then resigning Dipo to man the backup point until he gets fully healthy.

Personally I am intrigued by Powell. Still evaluating. Wish there was a point powerforward in the league like Antoine Walker.

Robinson would be a fool to sign for that lol, but he would immediately become an asset.

It is what it is. We need a miracle. We need chemistry, internal growth, and probably patience.

Although there are no guarantees on which players will be made available via trade, we can speculate on a few names who have been floated to varying degrees and add them to the list with an asterisk.

Brogdon (heavily discussed at the deadline)
DeAngelo Russell (Minny’s draft pick status will likely impact his availability)
Hield (his dissatisfaction with Sac has been well discussed)
Harrison Barnes (name was floated a ton at the deadline)
John Wall (might be a situation where Hou would be willing to attach an asset(s) to dump his salary)

Names like Jeremi Grant and Christian Wood are also intriguing considering that they are on lousy teams who are building with young players and their timelines aren’t necessarily aligned.

Thats only 3 mill less than Harris per year on average. I can see him getting less than those two. Harris is getting 16 mill this season it goes up a mill per yr. Basically its 18 mill for Harris 15 for Robinson. Not a huge difference. Same with Fournier, his is basically 17 mill per yr.

With the cap going up, expect a 4/80+ No way he takes that deal. His agent would spit in Pats face with that offer lol.

I feel partially responsible for this state of affairs. Just before WInslow's last decent Heat game (at the apex of Point Winnie board froth), I was playing BasketballGM (https://play.basketball-gm.com/). I was 3 years ahead, and Winslow was still coming off the bench, but he was 12/8/5 in 25 minutes or so (which is pretty good.) The game has a fate event where something disastrous can happen to your players. Back then there was a bug that it could happen to real players.

Winslow did die in my game. His girlfriend (suspecting him of cheating) entered his apartment and shot him. It was right after this that he collided with Millsap. After that it was a race to the bottom.

Like Kennard got like 65 mil over 4 years to worm the bench. Duncan will get a 80 MIL deal. I just hope we don't gonna match the offer.

Not saying that will not happen. It can very well happen. But I think it is a good chance he gets lower than Kennard, Harris or Fortier. I am not sure that the league sees him better than those three when they got paid.

Ill take Hardaway and Ish Smith and call it a good offseason. We arent going to land big fish but just those two alone improves our offense

If Robinson is projected to get 20 million a year I'd rather spend 5 million more and have Lowry for the next 2 years, move Butler to SF, start Herro at SG. Just find a big opposite of Bam who can shoot 3s. Would love to see a sign and trade of Robinson in a package for someone like M.Turner.

I'd also resign Oladipo to a 1+1 if the medical staff projects him to be a good risk, either go cheap with a player option, or a give him a decent(not big) contract with a team option like Miami did with Dragic(probably not that much if he's projected to miss most of the year), both contracts are really only 1 year situations, are safe risks for each party and lets Miami retain Bird rights.

I am not sure how a team can justify paying a player 20 mill for 12 points. Not saying it will not happen. But....

$50 mil / 4 years = $12.5 mil per for Robinson ... you probably meant $60 mil / 4 years.

No way we pay Duncan 20M per year. He is a legit shooter but thats it. No other strengths to his game...too one dimensional. Yes, Have has added some assists and cuts to the basket and his defense is marginally improved but he is still a liability. Id rather pay Fournier or Dinwiddie.

If someone like Detroit wants to pay Duncan, let him walk. Same for Nunn. Would you rather have Lowry for 20M per or Duncan? Seems a no brainer to me. Someone who can play point well so Jimmy doesnt have to. Lowry would make Herro better. Love Dragon, but he isnt a starter any longer. Man, if we can sign him to a deal under $10M per, we could be really competetive.

If it makes you feel any better we are about to extend Butler into the near 50 mil range when he couldn’t even avg 15 points in under 30% shooting.
