Fair point but if it nets them Barnes and a 1st they might be willing to overlook Miami being the receiving team. It might also be giving Collins a favor in sending him home. Unlikely... yes, outside the realm of possibility... not necessarily.

Hawks could just deal directly with the Kings. Why would the Kings want Duncan over Collins when they will have a need at the 4 once they trade Barnes?

He’s getting a bad rep from Orlando fans but he’d be very good for this team. I’m confident in that. Might be good that he’s getting hate, may be able to get him with our exception

He’s the perfect buy low reclamation project for us.

Absolutely! Orlando isn't a good fit for him. Never was. He can learn here in one year what he never learned in Orlando. Heat culture.

We want to wishcast a lot of good players here but much like Brunson coming here other then Collins loves us so much he has no leverage to force a deal here. He’s locked up into a long term. He could have forced his way out last year.

Wrong attire and wrong job title. Put on your best yachting shorts and pretend you're the Hawks owner. Are you paying the tax for a team who isn't coming close to winning the title because of John Collins? Besides Collins not being happy the owner is reported to want to avoid the tax. Thats why Huerter and Collins are on the market.

That's 1 out of 10 nonsensical things he said about how the process was playing out. It's not even being mean but when you're providing insider info from someone in the FO that doesn't even make sense under the CBA rules, then you've been outed. It's simple. Probably a good guy but he was taking you guys for a ride.

Lol not you guys. Check my history. I've been calling him out since day 2.

And that’s why you trade him for Barnes and his expiring contract but keeps you competitive this year.

Because Collins is a terrible fit next to Sabonis defensively and their new draft pick is projected to be able to play either forward spot. But you do have a good point about wishful thinking.

Nope that's not it, I only report what I get from a verbal conversation unless its sent on a text directly, not like I am dictating all of this on paper, so I could make mistakes. I didn't get any updates last night but I did get a text late around 11pm about an update this morning while also confirming the BS about Pat Riley or our staff flying out to meet with anyone, it was late and I was cuddled with the wife watching peaky blinders on netflix. I should have posted that, and I would of at least had some confirmation I am getting accurate information to you guys, but whatever.

He did confirm about PJ not coming back. PJ's agent made the team officially aware this morning he will take the Philly deal when its officially offered. Miami is working hard on finding a replacement at that position and make something work.

Dipo's camp has not given Miami any indication he is accepting an offer outside the organization. However they are aware that Dipo's preference is a short deal 2 years with a player option at or around 7-8 Million to negotiate from there. His top concern is playing time, Dipo has been talking to the coaching staff directly to get a feel for what his playing time will be on the team moving forward. Miami has told him a possible 6th man role is available with the ability to win the starting role based on a prove it basis coming this offseason. They feel confident nobody else is gonna pay more than 4-5Mil for his services so we should be able to retain him.

Herro is indeed headed out on a deal happening shortly after 6pm today.

Duncan is headed out on a separate deal happening shortly after 6pm today. This one will be the first one reflected.

Brooklyn has officially removed the request for pick attached for an Irvin trade, however they do not want Kyle Lowry on the return and has requested for a third team involved. They have involved Dallas in a three team deal to make this work to replace Brunson. Kyle Lowry's camp was notified this morning of this possibility. Brooklyn has also made Irvins camp aware.

Mo Mamba, is not on Miami's priority list. They are not sold on his game, and feel they have enough projects on the team as of currently. They are looking for a Vet at the PF position.

I think the Hawks would be smart to trade him while his value is high. If he really wants out then go get a solid package for him. Just like the Spurs did with Murray. Although Murray should help them on defense, Collins is still not great on that end - especially switching. He also has limited shot creation.

You got a little past 6PM to redeem yourself IceCold!
The "Irvin" and "Mo Mamba" comments aren't leaving me optimistic, though.

I’ve always believed in you brother! You’re just relaying what you hear!

As for the news, woah!!! Herro and Robinson are for sure being moved this afternoon in 2 separate deals? Outside of that were also trying to acquire Kyrie?

I like the Dipo stuff, I want to keep him. PJ can fuxk off. Bamba news is very disappointing. He would have a major impact next to Bam

Why are we still running with the Irvin-G rumors? Espn just ran a full promo on Kyrie going back to the Nets and how great they are going to be with a healthy Simmons.

I wonder if Miami was caught with their pants down with this PJ situation or if they feel confident they will have a 4. It doesn't seem like the FO to be completely blindsided by a role player that seemingly loved his time here. and if we're not doing anything special then we should offer the full MLE and leave it at that. Hard cap won't matter if you don't have larger moves in mind

So according to Cubano, here is what will happen today

1. Duncan is traded somewhere around 6pm
2. Right after, Herro and Lowry will be traded for Irving

And there is a private jet landing in Miami from Washington this afternoon. Not really sure what this means, but it is

Return to Miami Heat
