Lots of smoke of Garland to the Pels for Ingram. I do like Ingram filling that SF spot on the Cavs with Strus moving back to the two spot. Murray imo is a better fit on the Hawks but with them possibly going with Risacher they don’t need Ingram. Obviously if Mitchell don’t resign it causes a ripple effect in all these deals.

Mitchell’s decision on whether to extend with Cleveland or not this offseason is looking like it will have a major impact (including 2nd order consequences) on Miami’s potential avenues to really improve this offseason.

Many may not be high on any potential Ingram trade. But, suddenly having Mitchell off the table AND losing Ingram as a fallback option would really deplete the potential high impact offensive trade options.

Pls Don. Impose your will.

At that point i think we have to be realistic with ourselves and look into trading Butler to Philly for those picks. Could have b2b picks this year at 15-16 and two future 1st opening up trade flexibility. Start the JJJ era at SF. Also future cap flexibility to add a star on Bam’s timeline.

This is the last year to sell high on Butler. If we can’t get Mitchell we have to seriously consider cashing in to build for the future. If not we are going to be stuck paying an aging Butler till 37 as a treadmill play in team.

Really happy for UD getting all this ESPN time as a talking head. Just said there’s no way LeBron leaving LA and forget about Philly lol

My gut says they’re locked in on the “Jimmy and Bam” core for better or for worse. We’re essentially living out the Timmy/Zo years again.

I hope Haslem is not getting tampering fines for the Heat for speaking on Mitchell free agency. I do not know all the rules on it, if certain members of the organization can or can not speak on another team player publically .

The NBA states that any organization member, coach, player, executive, or owner cannot speak to a player on rival teams to lure him to join their team. This includes publicly showing interest in acquiring the player or approaching his agent about a possible trade.

I think UD should be fine. Bam’s tweet days ago toes the line however.

Its not strictly talking directly to the player. They cant speak public on a players free agent. Hopefully Haslem job title for the Heat is not included

Yea I know. The second part of the quote I posted says “includes showing interest in acquiring the player”. Magic’s fine (the 2nd time) was bs if we’re being honest and the league has been very selective about enforcing tampering. But if thats the precedent they roll with then yea expect a fine and maybe an internal memo to stop talking, sub-tweeting, etc. about players legally under contract.

Interesting comment that Pat Riley told Walker "I play my money". Meaning if you are making big money, you need to be starting. You are not a 6th man.

Hopefully people don't take this story out of context. That was Pat Riley the HC and GM

The rules are in print, you can talk about players so as long your not trying to engage in interest or recruitment.

The NBA's tampering rules prohibit team members from trying to recruit players who are under contract with other teams.
-This includes players, coaches, executives, owners, and other organization members. Tampering can include:
-Publicly expressing interest in a player
-Privately contacting a player
-Approaching a player's agent about a trade
-One player negotiating with another player, coach, or executive before the agreed-upon dates

So Garland has more trade value than Herro?

Herro with Bam and nothing got a win off the Celtics. The double standards of the greener grass will always be hilarious.

What does Herro do other than putting the ball in the basket on less than great efficiency?

Surely you don’t think Herro is better than Garland

Garland had a horrible year and is paid 163m/4y.
Not sure who wants to pay Garland 40m+ (on top he has a 15% trade kicker that might add more money to pay).

I rather have Herro on his contract 93m/3y.

Nothing, literally nothing. Hallstar and VaDe are Herro Stan’s but even with that being the case it’s crazy to me they’re still being delusional about him after what they just saw

Herro did average his best PPG this year in the playoffs at 16.8.

Bam also averaged his best PPG this year in the playoffs at 22.6 while working his *** off on defense.
