I'm liking this kid. 6'9" 200lbs PG from Russia. I know he is projected in the mid to late teens, but he seems like an under the radar prospect. Thoughts?

He was actually top ten for a lot of people's mocks eariler this year, but has fallen. He fell because his shot hasn't been good at all this season, he's very hot and cold aggression wise, he's not great on defense and there's major doubts about whether he's a real PG or just a passing forward. I've seen a lot of draft guys call him a poor man's Josh Giddey.

Yea he was hyped top 10 for like the first half of the college season. The amount of assists he generates is def impressive. He's a tools prospect.

Given his poor shooting (including FTs which is the real red flag for me), I was turned off when I saw how loose his handle appears at his height. I have concerns about him translating to such a heavy onball role with that loose handle and no shooting. If he's not the onball guy, then what is his value add? I'd like to see him show more in college tbh.

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he went back next year.

Haven't done much of a deep dive into Noa Essengue, but he def is trending like the sort of prospect that will keep rising and end up a top 10 pick

Don't forget Bennett Stirtz

Was a fun watch last night. Stirtz controlled the game against an elite college defense.

Def think Stirtz cpuld be a NBA caliber point guard with his feel for and control of the game. I don't expect him to measure at 6'4 and he needs to strengthen his handle (and whole body) to hold up in the NBA.

Probably the best move for him. Needs to get sturdier/stronger and further validate his shooting.

Kam Jones out of Marquette would be an interesting name for our GSW pick. Older rookie at 23, but a bucket and backcourt playmaker. Plus we like our Marquette guys.

Likelihood seems to be he'll transfer somewhere like Alabama and be a 2026 first rounder, but man I'd rather he come out now and Miami steal a 2026 top 15 player with a pick in the 20s in the 2025 draft.

As expected, Adrian Wooley has entered the transfer portal so he likely won't be a 2025 draft guy. I'm still very high on his NBA prospects. Excited to follow him next season.

Barttorvik queries can get pretty silly pretty quick. But, it's an extremely useful and valuable tool for context of how prospects produce in college.

With that said, I believe this query is very straightforward and is massively impressive for Jeremiah Fears.

College freshman since 2008 with an assist percentage of 25% or greater, 150 rim attempts or more, and a free throw percentage of 80% or higher:

AKA offensive engines

Fears the only one that didn't have a good 3pt percentage in his freshman season.

With that said, Fears has the 2nd highest FT% of the group (behind Trae), the best percentage on long 2s (which are almost exclusively pull up jumpers), the highest free throw rate, the highest steal percentage, and attempted the 2nd most 3s (behind Trae).

I'm basically all-in on Fears as my #4 prospect right now in a tier with VJ Edgecombe.

Would love to add a prospect with Carter's upside and defense with the GS pick.

Note: the real show starts with his defense around the 9:20 mark

Looks like the best we can do without moving up would be 8 and 14?

I'm at such a weird spot with Richardson. The efficiency is legit, and I think he has clear nba level skill and intangibles. But what's the high end outcome? Does he actually have star upside? He has point guard size, but is not a point. Not a crazy ball handler or athlete either. He can't really go right. He's a good defender at the college level, but does he have the size for that to translate at the NBA level? I'm positive he's gonna stick, but is he like a Strus type of guy or a Herro (allstar potential)?

Also, if the Heat picked him, where does he fit on this team? A 6th man? Can he play next to Herro?

He can definitely play next to Herro. I guess it all depends too if we trade for a guard like Simons or Sexton might lead us into a different direction. Maybe a high upside wing

Curious if we have a grace period before the Hornets pick auto conveys to 2028 unprotected cause i could see us swapping the GSW pick to a team that has multiple picks in 2026 or 2027 to spare. This would take care of Stepien rule and keep protections in place on that Hornets pick.
