We were lowballing and trying to strong arm Portland into sending him here. Hell we didn’t even want to include Caleb Martin in the deal.
That’s the difference between the Dame talks and Fox to the Spurs. It was the Spurs only and the Spurs didn’t fuxk around and trying to bend the Kings over, they sent a very respectable trade package over and got the job done.

The Kings got Lavine, 3 1sts and 3 2nds for Fox. They made out great all things considered
Spurs traded Collins (Olynyk), Jones (Expensive Bad version of Dru Smith) and Cisco (g-leaguer), 3 first (2 are conditional) and 2 second rounders from the Spurs for Fox and McLaughlin
Kings turned around and traded Heurter (Duncan), Collins (Olynyk) and Jones (Expensive Bad version of Dru Smith) for Lavine and a 2nd rounder.
Lavine was a negative asset around the league. Teams wanted draft picks to take on Lavine and was happy just to only have to give up a 2nd rounder
