Sidenote:Why the heck was D-wade and Lebron laughing,on their way up to the podium for their press conference? Is it false bravado,or do these guys feel that they have the Thunder right where they want them?

The laughing is still bothering me too. I pointed it out after a loss against Boston in Game 3 I believe. They straight up got to the podium laughed, and made jokes. But after a dog fight in Games 6 and Game 7, I was almost positive we weren't going to see that type of attitude again. I'm not expecting those two to get up there and cry, but they take losses way too lightly and it's not until they are in a WIN or GO HOME situation that we see ANY sense of urgency, and that's pathetic. Thunder were in their FIRST Finals game and they somehow looked hungrier than the team that got embarrassed last year and has been disrespected all season long. Somehow these two are always finding humor in playing like **** as a team. Yeah Lebron scored 30, but he didn't win. You can't be satisfied with a LOSS period. Even if you felt like you did "enough" you have to demand more out of your teammates. And Wade? 7/19 for 19 points yet you're LAUGHING? I don't get it. Sometimes I feel like these dudes are content with failure.

But THE HEAT'S YEAR.......was last year. Meaning....No way should the Heat have lost last year. Blame goes to LeBron and Spo. The Heat should have one in the books already. Imagine LeBron/Wade/Bosh...KNOWING they got it done already? They'd be so pressure free and just play ball. And would be trying for a repeat.

That monkey on the Heat's back is still there and they feel it.

This is why...I know its UNREALISTIC to expect LeBron to average 35/36. But he basically has to put at least Celtics series #s to make up for what he did in last year's finals. Im hoping LeBron can DOMINATE to make up for the title should have been gotten last year. Wade has regressed...but LeBron didnt do his job last year. Im hoping LeBron carries the Heat to a championship...HE's GOING TO HAVE TO DO IT! Im talking DWADE style 2006. LeBron's got it in him. Im just hoping he's able to do it.

I actually agree with your sentiments in regards to the "Lost Opportunity" last year, and how it still haunts this team.It would be nice to see this team playing pressure free and loose for a change. But all that matters is the here and now,and what they do in these Finals. They have a golden chance to alleviate a lot of their woes,by knocking off this Thunder team. We'll see if they recognize that and start to play strong, smart, passionate and efficient basketball from here on out.

JJ sucks as bad as Miller defensively.

At least he can hit shots, so I'm all for him getting some playing time.

Play him and Cole some minutes. Norris should be able to handle that opportunistic scrub Fisher.

It's turns out the shortened rotation Erik Spoelstra spoke of was because of a migraine that kept James Jones out. http://sunsent.nl/KSrof1

because of 1 player?

IDK man. Spo seems like he is in panic mode right now: scrambled eggs for a brain. Can't tell what he is thinking shortening the rotation due to one player. Note sure if he is thinking at all.

I know what you mean. Not saying there is any truth to this...but as someone said on twitter..

LeBron looked as though he was relaxed cause he scored 7 points in the 4th and 30 for the game. Basically knowing he at least played well....so he cant outright be killed.

That upsets me as well.

Im hoping the media DESTROYS HIM TOMORROW!! WHY?!? WE NEED P'OD LEBRON! BUSINESS LEBRON!

I know he's buddies with the Durant. But he needs to take it personal that KD gets the win AND wins the individual matchup. He needs to be of the mindset...that this dude isnt going to take it from him. Screw nice and sincere LeBron. Im not saying that he needs to play to prove people wrong. But to play as though "THIS MOFO DURANT IS NOT BETTER THAN ME. QUIT THAT SH*T"

At least thats what I hope :-?
Im hoping the media DESTROYS LeBron tom

Hard to alleviate pressure/play loose when you know the world does not care about what good you do for 82 games and 12 post season games leading up to the finals (unless you are losing of course). You get so fixated on wanting to play well that you try to do more than what is necessary and squander opportunities-- Game 2 last year. We repeatedly tried to drop F U bomb three's on them to make a statement to the world and it back fired,

Only person that can keep this team relaxed would be a Phil Jackson/Riley/someone of that mold that has been there/done that.

Vent on,my brother.

No,but,I definitely agree with you. They have to stop acting so "blahzay" and start taking this stuff serious.I mean these young Thundercats are dead serious, and you can tell by watching their press conferences.I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that no one on the OKC's team has had any P***y since the Playoffs have started.I mean that's how serious these dude's seem to be about winning.

I don't want to accept the reality that Lebron may have to control every game from top to bottom and play defense on KD throughout, but it may just be the case.

Durant dropped 36 on 12/20 shooting with some FT's... and beat LeBron and Wade by himself in the 4th.

But Durant man, he will get his. I think limiting Westbrook, who almost had a triple double, will be more better for us.

I want to see this LeBron next game:

I know he is buddy-buddy with KD, but come on, pull a Marion and get in his head a little bit. It would help if you lessened KD's confidence and make him have mental breakdowns in his first NBA Final.

Dude looked poised like a vet out there.

You cats burying your own Miami Heat are gonna feel stupid, trust me.

This series isn't even CLOSE to over.

What did OKC do tonight? They won a home game. Game 1 of the NBA finals. Lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of home teams win game 1 of the NBA finals. That doesn't mean you're gonna win the series.
Enjoy every sandwich.

And I hate to beat a dead horse....Because SPo is a good young coach.

But if the experienced GREAT coach was already in place....They win last year and are soaring confidently to try and repeat. As BAD as LeBron was....You give any GREAT coach these 3 players....They get it done. They know the right ways to reach them.

With the right coach...You stop the problem before it starts.

Imagine a team with this much talent....Never having a number 1 spot in the East, really? :-?

LeBron and Boobie Gibson squad won 66 games with a suspect coach in Mike Brown. Wade carried a bunch of slobs to a 4th seed before LeBron/Bosh got here.

Last year they were smoking teams in 5 games games the 1st 3 rounds. But then blew game 2...and had no confidence late in games in the rest of the finals.

This year they know how to overcome adversity...but they also know how to dig themselves into an unnecessary hole. The balance is off, the rhythm is off, something is off. I dont blame Spo 100% for that, nor the players. But why hasnt this thing shown ANY dominance yet?

Darn,I miss the 70's,80's and 90's era of Basketball, when a guy could be your best buddy off the court, but on the court he was your mortal enemy.

You can tell by their body language, that some of these players don't really won't to be mean or defeat their friends on the court. These are crazy Basketball times we are living in...

Besides some others, I think most people are mad at HOW we lost, and not the actual loss.

Just not doing the little things, or not doing them at all. Or not having that hunger.

In the 1st half we looked so good that we were on a mission, then OKC woke up. We allowed ourselves to get rattled and just didn't play well.

Game 1's are irrelevant nowadays in terms of the outcome. The Heat always win game 1 (besides Chicago last year) and we still didn't win a title. It is far from over.

Yep. As one of the Mafia guys said in American Gangster

"We can have no friends and be successful. Or we can be not successful, but have friends."

**** the friends stuff.

Destroy him. LeBron essentially loses all credibility as the best player in the league if he gets outclassed by Durant. Its one thing if the Thunder have the better team. But getting shown up by the 23 year old? No bueno :(

Get p*ssed LeBron. Scoring 30 and getting 7 in the 4th isnt good enough this series. Would have loved it against the Mavs last year. But this Durant/Thunder is a different animal. LeBron cant be Regular Season MVP LeBron. He need to be FINALS MVP LeBron (which we saw in the Celtics series) or have a transcendent performance like DWADE in 06. Its up to LeBron...point blank...

to be fair, OKC were nervous in 1st half.they missed many free throws too & open shots

Return to Miami Heat
