Ira's take.

He's right, Lebron back to Cavs storyline has been pretty much killed with this trade.

What are the chances the Bulls keep Bynum to keep him away from the Heat.

Seeing as they aren't contending now, I don't think they give a fck about the Heat ATM

Ya, zero chance that happens. They already waived the physical, so that they can immediately release him. They made the trade for the sole purpose of getting out from under the luxury tax.

Doesn't Mason's contract become guaranteed today? I thought his contract had the same deadline as Bynum's.

yah, so everyone is speculating that if the heat cut Roger Mason by 5 pm this evening, we are going after Bynum. Who knows

Arison doesn't care about 500K. Even if Mason doesn't get cut, I could see HEAT going after Bynum and cutting Mason.

1. I wouldn't put it pass the bulls to cock block us
2. I forgot about Bynum leaving decreases lbj chance of a Cleveland reunion
3. Every year since the formation of the big 3, Miami has had something to do with pretty much everything NBA related...everyone scared of what Miami might do.

Go Heat...to eliminate lbj going to play with other players, we try to bring them here....

i dont think thats true at all, you're thinking of the bynum of old, with the lakers. This is not that bynum. If he was that same player teams wouldnt be letting him go. He'll be an upgrade but it is far from a lock for us to win a title with or w/o him.

When it comes to the draft or free agency, or acquiring players via trade, anything that has to do with personnel, it’s myself and Erik and Andy Elisburg and Chet Kammerer and Micky Arison. If there isn’t a consensus, and there’s somebody that I really want, then I will probably get to make that decision. But I don’t think we’ve ever done anything here where we didn’t all agree it was the best move.

My sources are telling me the Heat will opt not to sign Bynum if he clears waivers. I also broke LeBron to Miami on another board a week before Screamin A. so take it for what its worth.

I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt. It just doesnt feel like the kind of move we would make. Feels different from the beasley/oden signings.
