Have you seen it yet, HFD?

I never go to the theaters, yet I went for this. Was not disappointed at all. It surpassed all my expectations to be honest.

The Ken Burns Vietnam documentary on PBS is outstanding. My half-brother's dad did two tours in Vietnam, on a gun boat, just like in Apocalypse Now.

No, I stay out of the theaters for the most part as well. I only go to the movies for a new Star Wars movie, or a new movie from Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino. Maybe I'll go see IT. I am a fan of Stephen King.

I love some Stephen King as well.

Too bad they royally screwed up The Dark Tower. As soon as I saw the Matrix reloading of the gun on the trailer I was done. Good grief. Who are they making this movie for?

Not sure if you're a graphic novel type of guy, but Locke and Key by King's son is really well done. That could be a movie series for sure.

I'd say I'm into good movies, regardless of the genre. Several scary movies have been good recently, such as Get Out.

Even 90's version is too creepy for me

Funny thing is how impressive Curry's clown was to me before seeing this new movie. Laughed off the idea of a remake due to him owning the role so well. Now that I've seen the new one, it's no contest. New clown is much scarier. The director nailed it. Great acting by the entire cast too.

Can't believe I could be triggered by a commercial but it just goes to show autistic relations are. Casting of an allistic character and fawning over savantism will almost never go well with anyone on a neurodiverse scale and still they'll keep making these media depictions of robotic aspies. That said, I'll probably give the show a chance and watch an episode of Good Doctor before I trash it... Heard decent things about that Atypical show too

Haven't watched Get out either. Going to try to give IT a chance on your recommendation. I had a friend that was into linguistic spells and he used to tell me about how Stephen King was possessed (Or supposedly said he was possessed) during the making of IT and how there are spells throughout the movie... Add to the fact that I don't care for scary movies, him nagging about Steven King all the time helped me stay away lol Will watch

Had to look up linguistic spells, Bishop. Not a term I was familiar with. Sounds like something that would belong in Kings toolbox.

Another thing about this new film is that it doesn't just saturate your viewing with scary stuff. There are several moments of levity that keeps things balanced and fresh. The whole audience applauded after the movie was over. Good stuff.

Saw "IT" , it's an ok movie. Haven't watch the 1990 version or read the book. Part 2 will be sometime in 2019 or something like that. There's going to be hundreds of pennywise customers in Halloween
