Hearing the Knicks traded 27 and 38 for 23 -- when we were purportedly dangling 20 to them -- has me thinking 20 has already been traded and Dipo is en route

Interesting. I had a post earlier trying to break down some rumor that we were trying to trade down with an Eastern Conference team and NYK seemed the likely partner too.

Not too sure about Dipo though, but might signal that we have already traded it or we are focussed on someone that may not have been available at 27.

I get the feeling the Pacers are most definitely going to trade Oladipo to buy into the draft as they don't currently have a FRP. However I could see the Mavericks at #18 making that kind of move if they could swing it. Especially with Tim Hardaway Jr potentially entering free agency.

Jazz or OKC would be great trade partners for us in moving our #20 for a late first plus a second rounder. Would be cool if Riley just low key arranging a Donovan Mitchell trade out of nowhere.

Let's see, the second question would be if Hayward would even move the needle for us, from what I saw he wasn't the same player after he came back from that tragic injury. But at this point if we can have em for the right price we can use em in a trade to get something better down the line. People like fancy names.

I like it might not look splashy (for some reason people just like big names without thought or concern on how they would fit/ what you would have to give up to get them), But it makes us more solid, a little more size, everyone up and down the roster shoots the 3 at a high level and compete on defense. We were just two games away from having a ring this year, with three rookie players and a sophomore(Which could be argued to be basically a rookie like he barely even played any minutes last season). We did while that arguably while arguably having the hardest road to the finals in the east with the exception of the first round, the only thing that would have made it harder would have been facing the raptors in the first round instead of the pacers. People really love to ignore that/discredit that including some people on here. Are we guaranteed as a given that we'll do it again this year? no Has the east gotten a little better this season? yes. But we've proven that we can shut down the leagues in his prime MVP, that we can get passed the celtics with two stars that average damn near 30 pts a game in the play offs. At some point people have to admit we have talent on this team, and some of it is only going to get better too.

Kyrie, Durant and Harden are a very questionable fit. Maybe they can figure it out and I eat crow, but looking at the history of Kyrie and Harden I doubt it will go well for them, The bucks got Jrue and bo but traded everything not named Giannis and Middelton to do it and now have to bring in 7 players on min contracts, I'm not sure if that gets the over the hump as the reason why we beat them is that we are just simply able to shut down and mitigate Giannis's impact and production. So far that's the onlything that's changed in the east. With the addition of Ibaka and Hayward I'd like our chances.

I'm sure Pat is trying to give us the best team possible. We can ask for the moon and the stars, but getting all those players to come to Miami is not an easy task. Let's be patient that no one does it better than Pat Riley.

Just heard HOU is asking for either Tatum + 3 FRPs or Brown + 5 FRPs for Harden. Honestly from a Heat prospective I'd rather one of those deals goes through than Harden to BKN for their basura package

Wait they want what??? Screw that. Miami have no shot at Harden if that's their asking price. If I'm any team in the league I'm happy to just wait till he expires and walks. They'd want Bam, Herro, Robinson and 3RPs off us.

They should have just opened Free Agency along with the trade season on Monday instead of (what looks like) an artificial date on Friday when teams are just talking and signing deals left and right .. like Bogdan Bogdanovic. Would have made everything cleaner.

Looks as if Gallo has a lot of options... probably people hearing from different organizations about the situation. I guess Gallo will go to Atlanta unless someone else can get close to the same money. But of course he wants to win at this point in his career, maybe Atlanta is offering way more money then he expected. Maybe he's utilizing Atlanta to get whoever wants to sign and trade him to give him more(which may alter the contracts needed to acquire him).
