Keyonte George generated some positive buzz with his conditioning at the Lift Sports pro-day. He made notable strides this year at Baylor, but his frame has gone to a new level during the pre-draft process and that was clearly something he and his agent, Mike Miller, were able to demonstrate

Conversely, GG Jackson’s workout led to some questions. Jackson looked noticeably winded less than 10 minutes in and, while the progression of his face-up skill-set was evident, the overall pace of the workout ended up being slower than most others. Given some of the questions that emerged at South Carolina this year with regard to his efficiency, body language, and overall maturity, this showing didn’t do anything to reassure NBA decision-makers.

Virginia guard Reece Beekman was one of the top performers at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine on Thursday, showcasing his two-way abilities and potential to be an NBA-caliber point guard.

In his first scrimmage on Wednesday, Beekman had a respectable performance with eight points on 2/8 shooting, five assists, one rebound, and three steals while going +25 in a little over 21 minutes of action to lead his team to a win. His athleticism and on-ball defense shined in that contest as Beekman routinely harassed the opposing team's ballhandlers - players who are also top draft prospects - including former NC State guard Terquavion Smith, who was held to 3/16 shooting in the scrimmage.

I agree there would have to be a lot more involved. Like Siakim and Anunoby. Ingram as a standalone would be worth it.

Crazy that Scoot is getting so much hype yet only shoots 27% from 3. I know he’s super explosive to the basket but that 3 ball percentage is concerning coming from a PG. What’s his comparable? Prime Russell Westbrook? I want my guards to come with deadly 3 ball percentages at 6’2

Offensive footwork and game looks 2-3 years ahead of Jovic. He also is quick off the dribble for his size, has some benefits over Jovic for sure.

Looks like a late round flyer or two way prospect for the SkyForce. He’s a North Dakota kid so playing for the South Dakota SkyForce will keep him close to home while he develops.

He looks more like a true center over Jovic who i view more as a point forward and much better shooter.

His comparisons I’ve been seeing are Rose and Westbrook. That’s a very tall expectation to live up to but apparently this dude is the real deal and would be touted as one of the best prospects in a long time if not for being overshadowed by Victor. Whoever gets him will be rebuilding so I’m sure they don’t care to develop his 3 ball.

I like that grant Nelson kid a lot. He’s obviously pretty skilled offensively and that 3 ball will definitely develop. What’s his wingspan? He’s 6’11 225 and looks like he has been longer arms.

I like these guys that have experience as top dog on these smaller schools with great size and good athleticism.

As for Jovic, I legit think he’s being developed as a PG

Nelson measured at 6-10 without shoes at the combine — nearly 3 inches taller than Tshiebwe, for comparison’s sake — and had a 7-foot wingspan, officially weighing in at 223 pounds. He averaged 17.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game this past season. Plenty productive, albeit against a considerably lower level of competition.

He's big, athletic, but very raw.

Jovic is more skilled, mature - I have big expectations for him next year.

People forget Rex, but Jovic has just done his one year apprenticeship. He’s going to be our Love/Turkoglu hybrid 4.

Nelson kind of reminds me of young Josh McRoberts minus the above avg passing. I don't really see the Jovic comp they could probs play together off the bench if both are good enough next year.
