The most logical spot for Lowry to land in trade has always been going back to the Raptors. Whether we deal straight up with them for Schroder or send Schroder to the Wizards for Jones. I think it all ends up with Lowry going back to the Raptors to finish out his career there. Heat have been long rumored to liking Schroder and I would be thrilled to have him as our starting PG moving forward. Once again not as splashy as some other moves but one that seems like a path of least resistance move. Schroder is represented by Mark Bartlestein who also happens to be the agent for Kyle Lowry.

Schroder >>> Tyus for me. I’m confident in Schroder being able to be a good 4th scoring punch and his playmaking has been very good this year averaging nearly 7 assists and 1.5 turnovers. Hes not the greatest shooter but he’s respectable

There is just literally no way. They have near the worst assets in the league, if this happens the league is pulling strings behind the scenes for the Lakers/LeBron

With the way the league pulls the strings with the refs for them how would you be surprised by this?

I don’t trust Klutch or the league when it comes to Murray. Klutch also has a knack of throwing our name out with all there clients in the media as a ploy imo. Happened recently with LaVine and now Murray. Talking with the Heat could be summed up by the Hawks making calls to teams to see how much they would pay. Rich Paul leaks it out then media starts to run with it while he works with trying to get him to the Lakers so it doesn’t look like collusion.

League is rigged, it’s just a shame when you see it blatantly. This won’t happen though

Lebron wants Murray. They could have LaVine for a bag of donuts but he wants Murray. If anyone could screw it up it will be Pop who hates the Lakers with a passion.

There will be interest for all these PGs but who’s willing to go the extra mile to get their guy? Time will tell

Nice to see more people coming around on Schroder.

My earlier season argument for Mia to acquire him seemed to be falling on deaf ears back then.

MY thoughts are the refs allowed the Nets to get away with murder....should have been more FTs in that game

Not Miami!

I just don't think Miami makes a big move if they weren't willing to move Herro for Beal who is a player who has proven himself as a #1 option (playoffs when younger and scoring 30+ ppg multiple seasons) and would make the team much better in the playoffs but cost more as an individual contract.

I'm expecting the once again trade asset of "leverage" to be moved, of course it's a nearly only win situation but for whatever reason this franchise no longer seems to care about taking chances to strengthen the roster for a championship. Look for teams willing to take something small like a 2nd unless Miami moves some of their depth for players who will be expiring on non contending teams for players who probably don't expect a good payday next year (say a team wanting their Bird rights).

I'd realistically look at...
G.Hayward, Bogdanovic (only 2 million guaranteed next year), J.Harris, McDermott, Bullock, Burks, D.Wright, K.Birch, Gallinari, Osman and Muscala

Some players who I'm not sure would be cheap enough to get because someone may want their bird rights including their current team...
Dinwiddie, T.Jones or R.O'Neal.

The league better hope Spo doesn’t get his hands on someone like Murray with his physical tools and improved shooting ability. He’ll be back to all star level if so.

You’re likely right, recent history shows we’re content with 2nd-3rd place. Which don’t get me wrong that’s a great season but we need to get over the hump before Jimmy visibly slows down in the next year or 2

His 12-13 mil salary along with there vet expiring add ins make so much sense for our cap situation. Also gives us PG insurance next year and also presents a great attachment expiring deal for a star player. Lots to like.

Nice player but making a lot of money at 22 million this year which will make it a pain to match without tossing in Lowry and a pick. Not sure we would have interest.

If the 2025 pick does not convey it rolls into unprotected in 2026. Hence why we can only trade 2028 and 2030. We can do a pick swap in 2027

I don't think you have to convince Spo on getting Murray as his starting PG. I think where our problems start is Miami has not gone the extra Mile, put in the extra chip or made the extra effort. Always negotiating from a position of power and status on why you need to take our poopoo platter and like it. The bad asset management from previous years, that they are still surviving from is why I would expect them to be so tight with trades in regards to assets but its getting a bit ridiculous at this point when your trying to win now.

Schroder is the type that plays at another gear in prime time too. Similar to Jimmy he plays at like 7-8 during the season, then in tournament play or playoffs he goes over 10+.
