Haven't done much of a deep dive into Noa Essengue, but he def is trending like the sort of prospect that will keep rising and end up a top 10 pick

I think I had read (might be the wrong guy) that he gets to the line at a pretty good clip, and makes his FTs.

IF that is the guy, he is young, efficient with the ball, but was foul prone and not so hot from outside.I remember thinking he sounded like a really big JJJ but did alot of the same stuff.

With the Heat no telling, he might be a new center and everything would be ok...but not so sure how he would fit with Bam and Ware already needing touches in many of the same places.

Of course. :) if it pushed Jovic to the 3 .....it could be addition by addition.....

I think he’s too raw for the Heat to burn a lottery pick on him. Usually not there style. Will be youngest player in draft.

I think Sion James is an interesting prospect. Looks like a tough all around physical guard that can be a great glue piece type of player. I see good handles, good defense, great competitiveness and quality three point shot, very aware passer. AND he is good off the ball player, cutting, setting screens etc. Listening to him in the film room video, appears to have a very good BBall IQ.

2025 stats

6'5 guard
8.7 pts, 52.4 fg%, 41.7 3p%, 59 efg%, 4.2 rbs, 3 ast,
James has a 2.5 ast to turnover ration

He can definitely play next to Herro. I guess it all depends too if we trade for a guard like Simons or Sexton might lead us into a different direction. Maybe a high upside wing

Aw man Sexton or Simons? I'm kinda over getting MORE small SGs who can't defend for the 1 after Rozier fell apart.

Egor Demin is the big 6’9 PG out of BYU but seems to have alot of haters.

I must admit. He did put on his best Steph Curry impersonation in that comeback win over Tech. He’s a gamer

The late teens early 20th GSW pick is going to have some quality older prospect guards for us to be giving a good look at. We need someone behind Tyler that can light it up. The obvious players are Kam Jones and Nique Clifford.

I'm not the biggest fan. As we see with Giddey the last month a 6'9" pg is very valuable as long as he can shoot. However, I'm afraid Egor might be bit soft. He disappears a lot, his aggression on offense is very hot and cold, and he doesn't handle ball pressure well. I'm sure you know how ball hawks have in their mind the list of ball handers they can bully (full court press etc) and they cough up the ball or ones they have to respect and give them space or they'll embarrass you with their handles. Egor is much more like the first if you look at his games against great perimeter defenders. This along with his poor shooting makes me skeptical if he can handle being a PG at the NBA level, or if he's a passing forward.

Also, when the shot isn't falling, Giddey stays active attacking the rim, crashing the boards etc. Egor has tended to fade into the background.

Personally, I like Knueppel ALOT more even if Egor has much better vision.

Knueppel is having himself a tournament and I can see him fitting here rather nicely. Seems like a player the Heat brass will all fall in love with and will be able to contribute day one. Would give us two white ballers from Wisconsin with Herro lol

It’s looking like our pick will sit outside the top 10 at this rate. Bye Fears, we hardly knew you :(

Think we need to also start paying attention to Ben Saraf. He looks like a mix of Dragic and Ginobili. 6'5 200 pound PG/SG would look good mixing in with Herro and Mitchell. You know Arison would probably love getting to draft this Israeli kid. Seriously after seeing how this kid moves I would hire Dragic immediately to the coaching staff just so he can work with Saraf.

Yeah I don't think we'll be anywhere near drafting Fears.

Thing is, idk if it's out of reach yet lol. Tankathon STILL has him reaching us at 11. A lot of draft coverage i follow still has him at late lottery. Hope might not be dead yet. (But since it's he heat, whoever draft sites think they'll take is exactly who they WON'T take lol)

The Heat make no bones or try to hide who they like. Once they start working out players in the draft range you’ll get an idea who we are looking at. Last year Carter, Ware, Carrington, and Tyson could have been our draft board.

Fears will probably go earlier than most mocks have him right now. The talent is undeniable.

I agree.

I feel like wed have to get a top 4 pick to have a chance at him.

Tbh......he's making passes in these clips Dragic usually didn't do lol. Dragic wasn't some CRAZY passer. A lot of his magic was his speed and mastery in the paint. This guy looks talented tho, I definitely need to look more at him.

In my limited exposure to him I came away very impressed.
