Teams are often wrong about that type of thing, not to mention the fact that we have a very strong locker room anyway. Riley has gone after Dalembert also, seems like he just wants a big.

Becasue bosh is the center going forward. We won 2 rings with him playing center and there is no reason to think that won't continue. With bird man, ud, lebron, and shane also in the power rotation(PF, C) there are hardly any minutes left, maybe 10-15min a game. Dalembert has a history of making noise when he doesn't get a lot of playtime. Last think i want on this team is a headache. Also, dalembert consistently looks for as much money as he can get, and there is nothing wrong with that. Every player on this heat team has had to sacrifice something, either playing time or money, and most have sacrificed both. It's just a part of the culture here.

Bosh can play either frontcourt position, that's not a big deal at all. Certain matcups, he's better at the 4, for example against Indiana. His length bothers and slows West but every other big we have is too small to guard Hibbert. With Dalembert, we throw him on Hibbert and Bosh on West and everything is a lot easier for us. Against teams like OKC, Bosh plays the 5, Dalembert's playtime goes down. No one who comes here ever has conditioning problems after they're done with our program. UD should get his minutes cut down for Dalembert, simple. The regular season would be a lot easier for the team if we had some big who could go up and get boards instead of needing the team to go balls to the wall to rebound effectively. He would play a lot in the regular season, especially when we're struggling inside.

This is basically it. I don't think anyone is acting like we NEED Dalembert to win it all. Most just recognize that having an able bodied real center sized defender with experience to thrown in from time to time to counter the few big men that hurt us would be a great possible addition. For the majority of the regular season and playoffs it will still be Bosh getting extended minutes at 5, and us playing small ball with Lebron and Battier getting minutes at 4. But, why not use our mini MLE to potentially get a little better at our one perceived weakness?

In the arms race that is the NBA, why not use our resources to try to better fortify our weakness exploited by Hibbert and Duncan. Because the Nets just got very talented and are very big and offensively skilled in their frontcourt, the Pacers aren't going anywhere, and with the retooled Rockets there is a decent chance that whoever comes out of the West will have a center that can cause problems for us

You better drop that perspective cause you are gonna get your heart broken.

1) Beggars can't be choosers

2) There are no other big men willing to come here

3) Dalembert will actually be able to play, unlike Oden

He couldn't even get playtime on the bucks lol. Can't believe how some are overrating this guy. Hilarious.

Also, where have you seen anything saying dalembert is interested in joining miami this season?

Dalembert would be playing behind bosh and birdamn. Bosh is not moving back to PF, that is pretty obvious.

Well to be fair, the bucks tried playing dalembert at pf which was just silly.. He even started a few games playing pf lol

And let's not forget the main reason why he couldn't get mins: the emergence of Larry Sanders.

And their love for ily didn't help things either.

I would let them play together (sanders + dalembert), but Bambi management is just.. well fill in the blanks..

The bucks has ily at pf and sanders at c over placing dalembert in the starting rotation alongside sanders which would have been a pretty good defensive team.

Personally, I'd like to see more creativity on offense, better utilization of existing players...but that's wishful thinking.....we're stuck with this system.....I'll just enjoy the games, don't care who we sign for this new season.

Oden is Swinging for the homerun, Dally is a single. Take your pick.

Agree with Oden being 0-10

Dalembert 0 -5 at best.

I'm pretty content being "stuck" with the system that has won 2 straight titles, 3 straight conference titles and the league's most efficient offense (eFG%) by a pretty wide margin. Almost every player on this team had a career high in efficiency (eFG%). Seems like they are being utilized pretty well.

Does anyone know Odens financial situation? he wouldn't be the first NBA player to blow through all of his money at a young age. You cant be mad at a player wanting more money imo. Unless your a communist of course

Read this carefully.....I do not know anything about his financial situation, am not mad at ANY player wanting the max they can get, and do not care where GREGG signs.........

My original post was actually in reference to all of this "speaking with pat, tweeting Pat" etc. - he may well just sign with Miami, BUT...I don't care for any more 'courtships" from any guys who have previously said "they are thinking about or this would be a good fit" for them....

I am basically sticking up for my CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM.......I am resuming my outstanding CHAMPIONSHIP off-season and for the first time in 15 years, I DON'T CARE ABOUT THIS OFF SEASON...

Yea, i haven't given 2 **** about this off season. As constructed i think that we can 3peat, and if wade is healthy in the playoffs, i will be even more confident.

I will say, I think brooklyn and clippers got a lot better. Like I expect those 2 teams in the conference finals...

Still, just i expect another parade in 11 months.

I am just fed up with these FA players who haven't done sh@t interviewing us like we're desperate.....If we allow our current players to get more involved, I like our chances. Pat riley said "we're gonna get better from within" We played the bucks and where was DALLY(on the MOFO bench? - when was the last time we played against ODEN(have we ever)? - again I say......fock em...

Ray Allen, Shane, Lewis didn't dick us around, they were interested and then signed...fock all this....courtship...WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.......FOCK EM - now back to your regular programs

I agree with dalembert. As for oden, i think it's worth taking a risk on him. Even if he just plays in the playoffs like miller did, him being on the court can be a difference maker.

Here is why ODEN does not excite me.....I watch A LOT of HEAT games...I pay close attention especially to what the BIGS/C do for THIS TEAM...I am not sure ODEN's knees can hold hold up to what we have OUR Centers do......If Pat Riley signs him, I'm a fan....I just thought he would have made more overtures instead of AGAIN "waiting for the best offer"

sorry BUT - FOCK EM - not a good day today for him - BTW - we may just get him

Agreed, we'd definitely have to change our defense when Oden is out there. I really don't think I'd be able to watch him run out to hedge on a screen without cringing.

With oden playing, we would be able to stay on perimeter players more and not have to help so much.

Quick question: How are the Pelicans willing to offer Oden $3 Million when they are over the salary cap?

It explains it here. It has to do with the order they report their transactions to the NBA.

remember what shaq looked like when he tried to do it, every C that comes to our team is forced to play that way...WE CHANGE the way a traditional C plays instead of making a small adjustment to preserve or utilize better.

Which is why I don't get excited anymore about the "non featured" players.....they are plug and play...basically are hired to do HEAT STUFF

We really need to get Oden or we could be in deep trouble this upcoming year.

Return to Miami Heat
