I believe that Pat would trade this years pick for a proven player before tradeing for another pick. I myself would like another pick, but knowing Pat i dont think so.

I don't want to hear any mentions of Justin Jackson after that 0 for 9 from 3 from any of the droves of Heat fans that brought out their pitchforks for Hank SkyWalker after he went 2 for 11 in an insignificant game that got us a higher draft pick.

Now Zach Collins doe... He should be discussed. Looks better to me than Myles Turner did, but Turner made a huge leap between the end of the season and the draft workouts. But Collins does a lot. Blocks shots, rebounds, has touch and range, some post moves.

Collins is interesting, he might top my center list for his defense although Swanigan, Patton and IH maybe more skilled offensively

Finally some new Frankenstein video

It looks like he's going to be a 5 in the modern NBA. In that case, right now I give the edge to Collins.

With our luck this year, he's probably going to announce he's staying.

For the most meh prospects in the teens..... JC not so interesting because of Wingspan, Allen only interesting because of 7'6 Wingspan

Never watched either of them play; Disclaimer

Nets probably the only desperate team to try him out in the first round, would/will root for him

Question for DoM: Where would you rank Yabusele with this year's group of 4s? Would you trade this year's pick for Guerschon? His range looks good in these clips and there is a monster jam at :08

Disagree with you on that. Allen has great range for a big men and he's very Myles Turner-like to me. Won't surprise me if he enters top ten ROTY discussion.

The Nets are picking at 24 & 26 right now. If they can get Giles and a combo forward like Semi, then they could come away with two of the biggest steals in the draft. Both Giles & Semi have strikes against them compared to the ideals scouts are looking for (injuries & age, respectively), but both came into Duke highly rated as prospects. If they land on teams willing to develop them & give them the minutes they need early in their careers, then they could both be quality starters to all-stars.

Imagine the Nets trading away a top-3 pick in this draft, only to land 2 studs, and then have them both reach their ceilings - it would make a great story.

His injuries and Semi's age are two different things and they should be drafted a good distance apart. Semi's a better prospect than a lot of guys projected in the teens despite age(Maybe Bridges and JJackson), Giles (Based on performance) probably shouldn't be drafted in the first

Semi would be great for us

I see all these centers being thrown around, but what we need is a 3/4. We need an over sized 3 that can defend, rebound, & shoot, who has some ball handling, & passing ability to play the 4. A traditional PF will not fit next to Whiteside in a Spo offence. On top of that i still dont see Winslow as a starter unless he can learn how to shoot over 42/43% from the field. I'd like to see TJ, JR, & Winlsow come off the bench for energy, & defense. Add JJ & Reed & we would have a hell of a bench.

If you've got some time to kill here's a video that tells Swanigan's story and demonstrates his character. I feel like if Pat was still coaching this is a guy he would've turned into a fan favorite. It's insane that he's the age of some freshman and they say that after this semester he'd only need 20 credits to graduate. I'm rooting for Swanigan wherever he goes.

The odds of us drafting Ojeleye or Swanigan with a 12th-15th pick is really slim. If we decide to draft either of the 2 and neither become starter quality players then the fan base will be very critical of the front office. Imagine if this happens and one of the players that were projected to go around our range ends up being a star or a starter quality player. It's a lot more likely that we'll be drafting either Leaf or Hartenstein so that none of this happens.

I 100% think those two would be great fits, and have a much higher longterm ceiling.

It's possible a team with multiple picks (like Blazers) calls and offers us a 2-for-1 deal if a player they really like is available at our pick - say 13 for 16/20. That's a deal we can make & then take less sexy names with higher floors (like Semi & Swan).

I will have to take another look at this years crop. I'd probably rate him similarly to Swanigan. Hard to say though because there is so much evidence for Caleb and not so much for Guerschon.

I think GY would be a great guy to round out a roster but don't know if I'd give up the 15th pick for him. I've got Hartenstein in my sights ATM for our pick. Checks a lot of boxes. Once again, not enough tape to make me feel real good though.

In my blow it up scenarios early this year, I always had Yabusele coming back to us in my Boston trades. Such an interesting player.

Even at pick #15 or so, there are some intruiging players available. We'll find a decent prospect at any rate. Based on our roster, you'd say it should be a PF - but if we re-sign JJ and it proves to be that Justise's best position is spending a lot of time at the 4...we may need to look elsewhere. Backup 5 assuming Reed opts out might be possible.

Great write-up on Semi, hope Winslow gets as strong once he's 22

Winslow is strong enough. It's his shot that worries me.

I am fine keeping JJ as our starter at PF, with Winslow comeing off the bench . But then we stil need a starting SF.

Yep. Hard to get excited over Collins when he's got T-Rex arms that make him look 6'7.
