Oh man what a scrub bhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP9hIZ ... ata_player
You can't teach height but you can teach a player to have great touch around the basket, be engaged in defense and that verticality rule the NBA loves for the pacers. While we wait for Oden, we have Haddadi to hold it down.

No thanks.. I'd rather heat sign jermaine O'neal than haddadi and that's saying something lol

Some people just don't have the knack for knowing what's good on this team. And you're one of them, plus you probably never even research the skills of all the players u bash, same thing many of you did with Birdman.
Haddadi may be a scrub on another team but he wouldn't be on this team. And I actually researched him and did my homework on him.
Ok just for the hell of it, why not tell me exactly what he's good for.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread 2.0
Ahh, the month of August. The time of the month where funny roster suggestions happens.
Before realgm, i was on Espn chats from like 2009, and people have been begging the heat to get birdman and/or Kenyon Martin. So the moment we got BIRDMAN, not one single person complained.. You wanna know why?
Birdman has a history of being an energy guy off the bench, that's defensive presence can be matched by very few centers.
What does haddadi have a history of? Lol you need to comprehend that a players history needs to be taken into consideration.
But anyways, I'll paraphrase what you wrote.. Some people get it, and some people just don't.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread 2.0
The point I believe that he was trying to make was that several people were saying that Birdman would not add anything to the team before we signed him and were poo-pooing the suggestions of signing him.
I can confirm that several posters here were doing that so he does have a general point. On the specific point of Haddadi I haven't seen enough of him but it does seem like he can rebound and has size. It all comes down to whether he can defend or not though, which I have no idea either way.

Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread 2.0
Also, when you assumed I don't do any homework before bashing, you fail to realize I always bring up locker room cohesion and chemistry..
Here have a read on an "ask Ira" article. If you're a heat fan, you know who Ira is so I shouldn't need to tell you who he is:
Q: Now that Michael Beasley is "tainted goods," I'm sure the Heat could pick him up for the minimum, give him a second chance at saving his career, and perhaps his freedom. He could be that third wing player with a scoring touch we need to give Dwyane Wade and LeBron James a break now and then. I'm sure he has learned his lesson by now. Bringing him back in familiar settings might be just what he needs. The fans would welcome him back. -- Dom, Oakland Park.
A: Because this appears to be a genuine inquiry about Beasley, and not one of the hundreds of backhand jokes, I'll bite . . . to a degree. And, really, this has nothing to do with Beasley or his previous Heat ties. It has to do with chemistry, which has been very strong the past three seasons in the locker room. Beyond skill sets, when it comes to adding complementary talent, there also has to be a complementary element in the locker room. For a team looking for an eighth or ninth man, there is no need to risk harmony in the locker room. And beyond all that, Beasley remains property of the Suns, at least for now.

Notice how he couldn't believe this was a genuine suggestion by a lot of fans?
Yeah..

Size, he's a minimum contract player, you tell him all he needs to do is get rebounds and block shots, make his layups. Our team doesn't need Shaq, all we need is size.
Alot of people's minds get clouded by this label of scrub and how players fit in a certain system. This likely won't happen but I would easily call this guy in to take a look at how we can make him better. Something about him, all the games I've seen him play and videos I've seen. I think he can be good for us.
I said this before he won MVP in the fiba championships too. I feel like he can be good. He can also shoot a solid 15ft J and is coachable. Sometimes you find a guy everyone has bet against and u make him somebody. Haddadi can be that guy. We spent years on Pittman, he doesn't even need all that work
And to the ppl commenting on one highlight reel, I've seen tons of tape on him, not just talkin out my ass, I don't think he's as **** as many think. I do think he needs to work on how he finishes around the basket, needs a team to give him a chance and help him.

I personally had lengthy arguments with people who said Birdman would add nothing to us, I had the same arguments about Kenyon martin, right here on this board.
Some players just need a chance, I'm not even trying to argue or disrespect anyone but no one knows until you really pay attention to certain players. We have these preconceived motions about players but give them a chance and they could surprise you.

Dwyane Wade said he underwent Ossatron shock treatment on his knee a month ago, only now resuming court work.

Only now resuming court work??? WTF mate. Why didn't you do this treatment right after the Finals. I was hoping he spent his entire summer on conditioning and shooting.

Wade probably was reworking that diet in order to lose some weight.
He SHOULD be much more explosive playing at a lower weight at any rate.
