^ That's the life of Lebron James he'll be hated for the rest of his career.

It's only fitting that he keeps pounding on this puny league and gets as many championships as humanly possible.

Wade's defense this series.

Post#386 » by ColdBlooded » Mon Jun 9, 2014 3:00 am

whats going on with him?

His off ball defense has been bad. He's lazy closing out on shooters, not always running back in transition , and simply hasn't defended to the best of his ability.

Great win tonight, not tryna bring negative energy. I just feel the need to bring this up because we will continue to be in these nail biter games with the Spurs if Wade continues his lazy defense.

His defense was pretty solid in the first three quarters of game one, I'm confident it'll come back just like the rest of his game.

It's been bad so far (but I know Wade will bounce back), but I'm having trouble responding to your post with a ****ing Bulls player in your sig.

Wade's defense is inconsistent. It's good in stretches and poor in stretches. That's not exactly unprecedented for him recently.

He is not disciplined enough to stay on elite 3 pt shooters. Overall though, he is still a good defender in spurts.

This has to be health related.

We need to really think long and hard about upgrading the team significantly if Lebron decides to stay because Wade cannot be counted on to stay healthy or defend at a high level.

I think we will see a different Wade in the upcoming home games. Even though Wade was horrible at coming out of the switch and staying on his man, there were multiple times where he had to defend 2 shooters at the same time due to our style of defense. It gets tiring.

His IQ is ever fluctuating on defense, not sure why people would all of a sudden point out to his health and injuries.

The main thing is running back on defense and not jogging back, as well as getting through screens when he's on Parker and Duncan/Diaw are setting the screen. Both of those cases cause us to be out of position on defense and it is simply a result of Wade being lazy.

Wade's defense was pretty awful tonight. He's developed bad habits on that end. He does a lot of ball watching, gets lazy in transition, and takes bad gambles. Against a lot of teams, he can get away with that and even end up with the occasional big play from the weak side. Against the Spurs, they'll make you pay every time.
