In season 1, it was my favorite TV show of all time. That's probably another reason why I hated season 2 so much.

Yeah it was tragic

Any sneaker heads in here? I understand that Way Of Wade's are hard to get in the US & many end up forking out way too much to greedy resellers. Here is a trusted Australian Li-Ning store that stocks WOW's. They also ship international. A handful of my relatives and friends from the states & Philippines have ordered from here, I've ordered a few pairs myself. Check them out:

My boy orders them from AUS too. But they're some of the worst quality shoes I've seen and worn for the price.

Horrible. The stitching isn't consistent and you can see glue on some overlays and whatnot. I am not a fan of them at all. I'll see if I can stop by his crib sometime next week and upload some pics of what I'm talking about. Oh and they are very uncomfortable for me to play in.

I'd be interested in those pics. I'm an avid sneaker collector.....the WOW's are one of the best quality shoes i've ever seen - leather is high quality and detail is amazing. I have been very impressed. Saying that though i have not bought any of his latest releases. I own pairs of his 1st two signatures.

I can understand if people do not like the fit as they feel like 90's pairs of shoes w/ todays technology. Very old school feel, wich is what i liked. I like feeling that i am wearing shoes - I think this whole light weight hype brands are promoting is nonsense.

Interesting story in Grantland. good read. Another shot at my city for the whole world to read......but in a lot of ways, true.

Taking the Heat
Two recent cases of the Miami Heat being targeted by con men show that South Florida’s sports franchises aren’t immune to the city’s hustler culture — they’re part of it.....

....Hustlers operate everywhere, but they seem to do their best work in Miami. South Florida reigns as the Ponzi scheme capital of the country. It’s the welfare fraud capital and the insurance fraud capital, too. Florida resident Rick Scott was forced to resign as CEO of a chain of hospitals after the company received a record fine in what the government called the “largest health care fraud case in U.S. history.” State voters have since elected him governor. Twice. Newspapers here list gas stations that skim credit cards. Miami is the tax fraud capital of the United States, and also no. 1 when it comes to identity theft. So pervasive is that last crime that two former U.S. Attorneys General have had their credit ratings obliterated by Miami thieves. One victim was Janet Reno, a native. The other was Eric Holder, who doesn’t even live here.

It’s only natural for Miami’s criminal culture to bleed into our sports. Lawyer Scott Rothstein used cash from his massive Ponzi scheme to sponsor the Dolphins, the Heat, and the Florida Panthers. Just this spring, federal authorities in Fort Lauderdale arrested former Dolphins cornerback Will Allen, charging him with running a $31 million pyramid scheme of his own. A teenage con man named Jimmy Sabatino once posed so credibly as a Dolphins executive that FedEx couriers handed over to him $260,000 worth of Super Bowl tickets, which Sabatino resold.

Naturally, Miami also figures in the FIFA corruption scandal. FBI agents raided the organization’s regional offices on South Beach. Feds allege that the president of a Miami-based soccer marketing group took millions of dollars in bribes, investing the dirty money in properties around South Florida. In a neat little synchronicity with Miami’s real estate shadiness — the city leads the nation in both mortgage fraud and money laundering — it came out that the head of socialist Venezuela’s soccer federation was somehow able to buy eight homes here.

Even our colleges play the game. A couple of years ago, Ponzi schemer Nevin Shapiro almost killed off University of Miami football and basketball by diverting more than $2 million of his ill-gotten cash into the programs. Of all the teams down here, only the Miami Marlins have so far avoided an association with a con artist, though some fans might accuse Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, who convinced taxpayers to shell out more than $2 billion for a new stadium, of running a legal con himself with his sports franchise....

Will do!

Lightweight is not hype for me. It's one of the three reasons why I never wore Jordan's aside from one pair that was gifted to me as a child (6's). The ones I tried on were heavy as hell to ball in. Today, the lighter the shoes, the better. If I have to play like a guard/wing then it's just perfect. I'm on my toes a lot, so no braces needed.

If I have to play like a big man, I keep the lightweight shoes on and put on these very solid ankle braces on both feet and I get the foundation I need to move around and firmly plant and push without destroying my ankles/heels.

A lot of those signature shoes are overkill and hype. All that money blown on shoes that seldom get used for what they're meant to do.

I hear ya. I'm mostly talking about the Adidas crazy light. I bought the Adirose 2.5 w/ the crazy light tech and they were just garbage - felt like glorified sandals. No real protection and cushioning.

I find alot of JB sigs are just terrible. The Fly Wade's were actually very good though - lunorlon technology felt great. I still ball in the Wade 1's.

Other faves to ball in are KD 5's and Kobe 9's. Kobe 9's perhaps one of the best basketball shoes i've ever worn on court.

I just finished watching the 1st season of Spartacus, it was badass as phuck! I just found out that the actor that plays Spartacus ended up dying of cancer and as a result he was replaced by someone else during season 2. That is pretty depressing… :(

I hope I like the new guy.

I hated the choice of the 2nd guy, but he started to fill the role pretty well actually.

Though my fav character in that show is Crixus the phucking GAUL!
