I have fear on Whiteside, I have fear.
From one side I dont wanna lose him, from another side I have this fear he could be one of those players that once he gets his big fat check contract he quits improving and starts to regress. Like Melo for example last year.

This may or may not make ya feel any better, but Hassan simply craves fame, recognition, and loves his stats far too much to be an unmotivated Andrew Bynum type.

Even after this payday, he still wont feel like he's arrived. What other player in the league took not being an allstar, dpoy, comeback poy, or on all def team harder than Hassan. Dudes who only care about a check, dont take that stuff as personal as Hassan has.

I agree 100% I never got why people assume Hassan will check out when he gets paid. He actually likes playing basketball. You could not say the same thing about bynum.

A friend of Whiteside did not dispute that report and said Whiteside, through back-channels, is generating considerable interest around the league. ESPN identified Portland as another team expected to seriously pursue Whiteside.

That friend said Whiteside prefers to stay with the Heat if all things are equal financially

We can offer MORE If we want. Better then equal.

Hassan Whiteside, on his Snapchat, when asked if he was a basketball player said he responded, "'I'm a businessman that plays basketball."

I'd prefer to hear from his agent than one of his friends. Because that response kind of upsets me.

A fair offer, I can understand. He deserves that much. But if he wants equal, he can go to the first lottery team that's willing to max him out. Every single one of them spit in his face when he was crawling and begging to get a chance to shine and we were the only ones who said yes, definitively. If the heat offer him a max, go get that bread. But he can't be sour if the Heat offer something that isn't equal to what other teams are offering. If he feels he doesn't owe the Heat anything, like a fair offer, then he can go. I get that if the situation were flipped, an organization would toss his ass out on a whim. But that's why these players are paid millions of dollars in guaranteed money.

Please remember we are a business first and foremost.

This will make you laugh or cry, there is a thread about the Wizards allegedly offering Noah the max on the main forum.

The Wizards are reportedly prepared to offer Joakim Noah a 4 year, max contract worth around $120 million.

If that story is true, I really feel for Wall. Boogie and Wall just can't catch any breaks.

Whiteside's Snapchat story last night:

"Today, this girl asked me if I'm a basketball player. I said I'm a business man that plays basketball"
