You heard it here....this will be Pat Riley's last season with the team. He's becoming Al Davis, Jerry Jones, Bill O'Brien(Texans), Billy King(nets), etc.. When decision makers get either way up in age or on the hot seat, they become dangerous and impatient, and tend to make horrible decisions that jeopardizes the franchise's future in order to microwave wins. Normally I'm fine with having a horrible season, because it means a great pick...but apparently we mortgaged that away to Houston as well. I literally can not wait til Simon takes over.

Comparing Nunn with Lowry shows why Riley is a basketball legend and you have zero NBA basketball knowledge. And I say this respectfully.

I feel like someone has put a voodoo curse on some of the Heat fan base, so they are blind to Nunn's talent.

Homie can go out there as a young prospect and put up 30 points and 8 assists on 48% FG shooting, and I'll read stupid takes like "IM SO DONE WTIH NUNN" in game threads.

Nunn was the best young prospect we had in a Heat uniform. Period. Better than Herro, Robinson, all of them.

And we just lost him for nothing.

Just to play along....Kendrick Nunn is 26 and Tyler Herro is 21.

WTF are you on about?

Nunn only had 1 foul per game during the playoffs vs Bucks.

He was consistently shooting around 48% from the field in the 4-0 sweep of the Bucks.

He was consistently among the top 2 best +/- on the team in most of the games

When given more shots, his field goal percentage doesn't drop. In Game 4 he was given almost twice as many shot attempts. Nunn took 15 shot attempts in Game 4, went 7-15 FG, 2-6 from 3pt, and dropped 18 points. The 90 million dollar man went 1-4.

Yeah. I've seen enough of Herro. He's a career bench player.

Nunn has All-Star potential if given the right opportunity. Nunn can create his own shot on EFFICIENT scoring. He's a walking bucket and we didn't value that.

If Nunn was so good I wonder why no GM threw a 10, 15 or 20 mil per year contract at him. And if he was as good or better than Lowry then why he didn't get 30?

I am really liking what I am seeing out of smart, garrett, and yurtseven. If they get us to ths 14 man roster while staying out of luxury I wouldn't be mad. And throw a two way at potter keeping the other to try and grab another team's summer league standout.

Nunn is a 6'2 guard who can create his own shot He can drive, hit the midrange, and hit the 3pt shot.

This is Nunn's stats last year, in which he IMPROVED from his rookie year drastically.

14.6 PPG
2.6 assists/game
3.2 rebounds/game
1 Steal/game

on 48.5% FG shooting
38% from 3pt
and 93% from the FT line

Are you kidding me?

15/3/3 on 48%/38%/93% in limited minutes?

Was Kendrick Nunn EVER GIVEN A FAIR SHOT BY SPO?

Can anyone here say that Spo gave Nunn a fair shot to help him develop and give him starting role minutes and feature him?

No. Nunn was handed DNP's at random times to make room for Kentucky golden boy Herro and the one dimensional 90 million dollar man.

The Knicks did.

You haven't read the articles.

Nunn turned down significantly more money to go win a title in LA.

Nunn is a 6'2 guard who can create his own shot ( against second units) , and shoots 48% from the field last year, and 38% from 3pt. He can drive, hit the midrange, and hit the 3pt shot.

Nunn averaged a steal per game too.

This is Nunn's stats last year, in which he Plateau from his rookie year

14.6 PPG
2.6 assists/game
3.2 rebounds/game
1 Steal/game

on 48.5% FG shooting
38% from 3pt
and 93% from the FT line

Are you kidding me?

15/3/3 on efficient scoring in limited minutes? ( against inferior competition / second units but not in the playoffs)

Nunn's shot efficiency was well above league average last season. And he did it as a 3-level scorer. And he's a still young. It definitely hurt to lose him, but we have to move on.

Grumpy, I do see what you are talking about. Nunn did show the ability as a 3-level scorer with a decent enough handle. I truly wonder what caused the up and down nature of his time on the Heat. I wish him the best.

I can guarantee you Nunn did not turn down double the money to go play for a title. Maybe a couple of million. The man has not made any money in the NBA to be turning down a large amount of money. He got a 2 year deal worth 10 mil for Christ sake. You guys must be geniuses that see something no other GM in the league believes.
