Yeah... I think he pissed off someone in Miami with that cheap shot before getting a cheap shot(getting the A.Bradley treatment). Not expecting to see Morris much if any in a game for the Heat every again.
Herro looks to be back.
Herro looks to be back.

I agree with you. Given what Brooklyn sent for Harden, they'll ask to include Tyler, Kyle and draft picks. Harden is 32 years old, would you make that trade?

Markieff Morris finally practicing has to be viewed as nothing but a good sign.

Lebby talk in a "Miami Heat Regular Season Thread" should be a bannable offense!

Not a chance i would do it. To me Harden seems like an OLD 32 at that.
Considering what it would cost, i would expect there are other high value targets possible.

Given that Brooklyn and Miami are neck and neck in the Eastern conference and Butler recruiting Lowry coming to Miami i think it’s absolutely insane this is even being discussed.

Harden has and will continue to have an old man's game, as long as he stays in decent NBA shape his game will age fine into his late 30s and I believe he'll figure out how to stay in shape because he wants a championship which is why he forced himself out of Houston, he's going to be in the same situation as Philly was with Butler, happy to get what they can for him if he wants out. I could absolutely see Morey figuring out a way to create cap space to just team up Embiid with Harden if Harden was willing to go there(which I'm not sure he would with Embiid's health history).
I could see Harden willing to force his way to Miami if Miami has the assets to make it worth it for Brooklyn since Miami can't create cap space like Philly possibly could.

You are right about everything. However, if Harden leaves Brooklyn at the end of this season and they aren't sure of winning, a trade is the most logical option. Harden earns $44,310,840 and Miami is capped. Any trade would have to include Jimmy, Bam, or Kyle. This is just a hypothetical question for twix2500 since he brought up the topic.

When he was locked in and thought he was playing for the post season with Harden and Wall, i would say he was solid.
He was a block threat and rangy enough to not get pick and rolled to death. I remember thinking at that time he could make a Chris Bosh-esq dedication to pick and roll defense given the right mindset. He had footspeed but does chase the play from behind alot. Every once in a while he would get caught out on the perimeter and looked a bit Bamish. With Bam we expect him to show out against guards, with Wood you hope he does not get embarrassed, but he has and can shut down drives from the perimeter.
The Problem with Wood, is that not what you always get from him. It is fair to ask if he is a fit in Miami, his offense is pretty much always on. His defensive effort is not.
If he was to play for Maimi, he has to share the ball, and his defensive effort has to always be on.
Can he do it? I think so. His effort was though the roof when he was playing with Harden and Wall and for a few weeks the team was a play off threat. The organization gave up, and I think Wood started to "Stat Pad" with 20+ shot games.
A coupe things going in our favor. Wood is absolutely talented. He is cheap, and we are replacing Duncan Robinson. Wood is a better defender on his worst day, and if he went all in on Miami basketball, could be surprisingly good. He fits in with Bam on offense and defense.

Good to hear that Morris is practicing. That means he is available its just coaching decision now.

Just looking at his ORTG-DRTG, he's been -1 both years in Houston on a horrible team, so there's indications that he's helping the team when on the court, when you look at his 3 previous teams... Det(+13), NO(+7), and in Mil he was +7.
Like you said, he's talented but has issues with being told what to do since he was told to sub in, in a 2nd half of a game and refused to which led to him being suspended. With how Miami is and with players like Butler, Haslem, Lowry and Bam on the team, I'd expect he'd fall in line and quite possibly turn his career around. It's a risky but it's a high reward risk.

Kyle got a hefty contract. He will not be here for the entirety of his contract. Trading him for a role player, the Heat wouldn't disrespect him like that. For a move for Harden yes and gets to play with Durant or even with Embiid if moved. He is still with a contender. Its not inconceivable, just as I told many here last year that Dragic was going to be traded.
And Oladipo is here as a possible future replacement for Lowry. Not to say Heat will trade Lowry for Harden, but I am pretty sure he will eventually be traded. An elite player would be who they would trade him for.
Combine with Harden age and his a pending free agency, his agent leaking his looming departure ala how Dragic and Lowry got traded here, Nets lost a lot of trade leverage.
This doesn't mean I would do it. But its a move Riley would certainly do if Harden puts Heat as a preferred designation again.
Not doing any real research on salary i would suspect this
Lowry, Herro and Robinson for Harden.
Nets turnaround and send a package to 76ers for Ben Simmons that could send Lowry to Philly.

If Harden's trade includes Kyle, Duncan and draft picks, I'd pull the trigger. However, I wouldn't if we had to include Tyler as well. And yes, this is a move Riley would certainly make.

Harden's offensive efficiency is way too reliant on drawing fouls and we're a team that's hated by the league so Harden wouldn't thrive here.
Just gonna drop his %s here:
FG: 41.9
3PT: 33.8
Now imagine where those numbers would be if he doesn't get bailed out and the FGAs/3PTAs are recorded.

Hasn’t impacted Jimmy?
Harden would thrive here, but it’s not gonna happen regardless.

Interesting chart. Who is the dude in blue right near the center?
Also doesn't look like Duncan is as big of a defensive liability like he looks on court. If he can get his offense back on track, he will look much better on this chart.
Also is that Haslem peeking from behind Dedmon's left shoulder?

Maybe I'm missing it, but don't think I saw Morris on the chart.
