I think if you commit to the rebuild and do it successfully, then you build a lot of love. Drafting kids is like nurturing a child. Theyll be loyal. We can continue to pay mercs though. Whatevs.

Is he going to hoop over the next 3 seasons or will he be more concerned with dressing like a dumbass and doing commercials?

You can’t fix that bums defense, you all need to understand his physical limitations which also limit his inefficient offense

Herro might end up being a loss leader type deal. I'm not sure how much value he has around the league - he'd fit in certain situations, but it's hard to see a deal where he's a key piece in acquiring a better fitting option at the 2.

It's gross, but perhaps the Warriors would have interest if Klay ends up departing. Perhaps a deal around Wiggins and a future pick?

I know people don't like to pay attention to the luxury tax and aprons much but it's a real problem for us right now. Not that we couldn't fit a third max star cause when you think about it Robinson, Herro, and Rozier equal 73 million combined. 50 million of that money should be allocated to a third star and the left over funds to rounding out the bench and paying your draft picks while being responsibly under the 1st apron.

Embiid will push this very hard to get back Butler and I hate to say it but Jimmy would have higher chance to win a chip with Embiid and Maxey. If he wants to win, he should request a trade this offseason.

He won’t request a trade if we give him his extension. If we do trade him to Philly it will be essentially a salary dump and picks.

Why the move for Rozier if he can't be the guy?

I’m good with Rozier as the lead guard next year. He’ll be expiring contract next year. We should probably draft a point guard at 15. Going to need the cheap labor after the extensions kick in. Move should be to get a contract with two years or less for Herro’s deal. Maybe one that adds more depth.

Robinson and J Rich for salary purposes is a suitable two guard rotation. Also keep in mind we need to get JJJ more minutes so he can absorb some 2 minutes. Need to flip Herro in some sort of 2 for 1 that brings in quality depth.

If the Heat decides to trade Jimmy it will be to a contender on the westcoast. Heat will not send him to a noncontender out of respect

If you give Jimmy and Bam their extension than you trade for a player like Paul George who can likely be acquired without using picks

Hearing Riley in that presser i remember saying it was almost like begging Jimmy to ask for a trade. Apparently Ira states that if Jimmy is traded he has to wait 6 months for his new team to extend him. Not that i think matters much if we don’t plan on extending him anyway.

Absolutely nothing that’s going to make any sense for them in S&T. He either signs for less or heads on over to Philly if they strike out with Butler.

I don't want to debate that because some in here feel all our players have no trade value

But PG in position to walk leaving Clippers empty handed. Clips have no leverage

I think we have a number of players with value, I just don't believe the players most here want to dump are the guys that would interest LA. A team like Philly or Orlando could sign PG directly into cap, if they don't want what we're offering they can say screw you PG go sign with one of those other teams.
