Yeah and we wonder why teams aren't trading with us. Constantly tearing down our players while pushing up other teams doesn't make positive assets.

Zyon Pullin has such an aesthetic game. He looks natural handling the ball and running offense. A real floor general. I think he may have some real upside. As noted in the first tweet, Zyon actually looks good driving and getting into the paint. The problem that has lingered is he's not explosive enough or crafty enough finishing when he gets there. He shot 45% at the rim last season as a super senior at Florida. That is a real red flag.

My hope is that Miami works to develop Pullin to prioritize looking to finish off of 2 feet off his drives. Instead of prioritizing maximizing his launching pad off 1 foot to finish in the trees among players more athletic than him, he should prioritize finding an abrupt stop in the paint to use a pump fake and footwork to find clean looks (floater game) or open looks for others off the drive. It's not easy to do, but for smart players with the requisite athletic body control, it can transform their paint offense. Below is a clip of Devin Carter talking about how he studied Jalen Brunson to incorporate this into his game and it transformed him as a player.

With 2 days of practice. The Heat Summer League team plays tonight vs the Lakers. Will be interesting to see the evolution

Nothing mysterious about it. They value the practice reps over the glorified scrimmages. Just taking an opportunity to get guys minutes who haven't played yet, and rest up the rookies to get them ready for the next SL in Vegas.
