Is the Heat satifsed with ware's performed in the summer league? I am seeing Vucevic being linked to the Heat as if Ware is not ready?

I’d be shocked to see Derozan or Vucevic happy with coming off the bench, more-so Derozan but I guess we’ll see (in the slim chance we get either. Trading Terry and whatever for Derozan and signing Vucevic would at least make for an interesting roster. That team could win 50+ games in a watered down East or it could be a complete disaster and win 30. I don’t usually like to bet on my team but over 37.5 just feels like a given

I think DeRozan at this stage of his career would be ok with any role as long as the team is winning. He has a great relationship with Powell so between the two of them I'm sure one will sacrifice for the greater good. If Jovic ends up starting then you could easily place DeRozan in the starting lineup with Herro, Wiggins, and Jovic as the true floor spacers with Bam and DeRozan working the mid range with both occasionally steppig out from 3. Powell would be the high scoring 6th man off the bench as the 2/3. We would have plenty of dynamic lineup variations that should prevent any prolonged scoring droughts.

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
King's just want the draft capital and will most likely release Rozier and end up signing Russell Westbrook with the roster spot. If the Kings release Rozier they are only on the hook for 24.9 of Rozier's salary instead of 26.6. That's the same amount of what DeRozan makes anyway and they clear off his salary next year. Kings save on not having to deal with DeRozan's partial for 10 mil next year and not having to carry the dead money on the books.

Thank god for evolution, Terry Rozier would be the best player on this court.
The reason you are seeing such good passes is because there is no zone defense to clog up lanes and players can post up in the paint for as long as they want. Refs also let the players battle it out more which weeded out the guys that just hung around the 3 point line. Honestly, I wish the NBA would go back to those rules. It’s not scoring the fans want to see, it is exciting basketball. NBA viewership is declining. The Bulls-Jazz finals were peak NBA ratings.

That's not exciting basketball in those clips
Current NBA discourse is clouded by pure blatant nostalgia
And viewership isn't declining, dudes aren't getting 300mil deals with declining viewership. People watching exclusively on TV is declining.

Revenue for the NBA is definitely higher than in the 90’s, but is that due to higher ratings? I dunno. When you add in international viewership then yes higher ratings, though lower domestic ratings. As far as revenue, the NBA is way more monetized now than it was in the 90’s too and it was pretty well monetized in the 90’s.

Golden State doesnt want to give up a guy who was possibly their best player in the second round.. especially considering that they know Butler is almost guaranteed to miss a third of the season at minimum, not to mention the games he just coasts.

Isn’t kuminga a rfa why hasn’t he signed an offer sheet for the 4/90 is it because he’s worried the warriors will match ?
Would the warriors even match that ?

The Kings don’t have the cap space to offer that. No team does. That is why GS remains some control of the situation.

DeRozen could really help the Warriors team last dance in a trade for Kuminga.

They don't care about the player, they care about the 2 year salary slot. He looked good in that stretch because they had to abandon the steph offense. Kuminga as a top option isnt winning games and he refuses to do the secondary stuff like pass, defend, rebound, etc..to fit. He just wants to score.
Kuminga could be the only 20M+ contract they can use to upgrade the team at the deadline. And that contract also needs to be on the same timeline as steph, dray, and jimmy. There's a reason why only bad teams have shown real interest.

They are focusing on players who can shoot and defend just like every contender. Its what they were misaing in the playoffs. Derozan is none of those things.

The triangle offense is pure artistry, Tex Winter would be so proud of this clip. It's crazy that Jordan still averaged over 30 points per game in his career while running the triangle system. If he played today, he'd definitely be putting up 45 with ease.

He’s in the league as we speak, he’d be Demar Derozan if Derozan played defense.
