I’ll gladly give Kas but I’m not giving up a 1st when Giannis is asking out within the next 6 months, potentially 3 weeks lol

Trade, Bam, Herro, Powell, and Wiggs for picks.

Draft multiple allstars.

Only way to “rehab” kuminga is to give him the keys to the castle and make him the featured iso option which ain’t happening for him in Mia’s scheme; and definitely not with Ja on the roster

Hard pass on Kummy

Chances are, 2 of OKC, Sa, and Hou will aggressively pursue Giannis in the offseason; and maybe all 3 of those teams if Den beats them all out and wins the west.

End of the day, Bucks are gonna want a treasure trove of picks. A lot of coping around here to convince ourselves otherwise because Mia will easily get outbid.

We’ll see, as of right now none of them are interested, idk how Houston works out that money. Giannis ultimately will end up where he wants which is basically in line with what’s being reported as well.

While having expirings in Rozier and Simone….

It's why I say the best chance at giannis is now for miami while other teams still have playoff aspirations.

Next offseason, they won't be able to compete with other offers.

Mia has a much higher chance of getting Giannis if a divorce happens before the deadline. Those other teams may not be so keen to trade away a significant portion of their roster and disrupt their chemistry if they think they are currently legitimate contenders. In the offseason, after getting bounced in the playoffs, 2 or more of those teams are more likely to be open to a big transformation.

Thus, Mia would need to steal him at or before the deadline.

This is exactly right. But I cannot see things devolving so badly within essentially the next 2 weeks in Milwaukee to where Giannis demands out.

This is why I feel like time is of the essence on the Ja trade too. We should be looking to lock it in asap. It could disgruntle Giannis even more to see a rival making moves while the Bucks get nothing accomplished. Might force his hand with time still left before the deadline.

But if the Giannis situation extends to the summer, I see him going to the Knicks. Even if we have an equal or better offer, I feel like the Bucks are more inclined to want to help the Knicks than us.

I think something is about to go down. Kas got some good playing time tonight. I think Spo might be showcasing him for potential suitors.

Was saying in the game thread, but I'm starting to lean towards wanting to upgrade the bigs at least if we're going to commit to trying this season.

I wonder if Daniel Gafford is on the table, I really like him every time I see Dallas play and feel like him and Bam could be an awesome defensive duo. Offensively yeah all he can do is lobs/dunks, but Bam can make the 3 now so I think it can work.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about the Ware situation is the way that it is playing out so publicly. Even though Spo is right about what he's saying about Ware (at least as of late) they need to keep this in house. Give a generic answer that he's a young player and there will be some up and downs and we're working with him on it and keep it moving. What is nitpicking his play and the response to it publicly meant to accomplish?

As an organization they just decided to go out of their way to make a public statement about Bam playing through the most injuries in league history or whatever bull lmao. Of course its them just providing cover because he was playing like ass and fans were starting to grow impatient, but I love it just for the show of support for Bam even through how terrible he'd been for at least a month. That's the face that you show for your players to the rest of the league. Criticizing Ware publicly and even insinuating he's purposefully playing poorly to force more minutes is wild. Spo lost his head there to even let that slip.

Watching Locked On Heat.

Wes Goldberg said that Herro was being targeted in the 4th on defense yet said the matchup was bad for Ware….

Theres some truth in that.

Spo might lose Ware, or maybe already has….

Heat needed two wing defenders, so it was going to be two of either, Wiggins, Larsson, Smith or Jakučionis. Ware mins was given to Jovic and Fontecchio. As of right now neither Jovic or Fontecchio deserve mins, especially over Ware

I will say Jovic did play hard unlike the Suns game. But he is providing little offensive impact

Return to Miami Heat
