This was last summer, and I coached the 15-17 boys teams. We were the Lakers and we finished 5-5. It was a lot of fun coaching, and I loved teaching the kids. I played PG in High School all four years and since I was great at posting up for my position, it was cool to teach the kids some tricks to play PG and SG better. I didn't really care how our team did per se, but I really wanted to teach the kids useful things they'd use when playing basketball for the rest of their lives. I mostly worked with the guards and helped them with ballhandling, shooting, posting up, and passing. Our guards were definitely the best(I'll take the credit for that :D) mostly because our "bigs" were more interested in playing small. Rebounding was an issue too, but coaching is definitely fun. I wish I could do it this year, but I'm gonna be away for most of June and July.

That sounds pretty good, a 5-5 season is acceptable, at least it was not a losing season. I have never coached, but my nephew coaches and I used to like to see how he interacts with the kids.

Real Story - My nephews son is an up and coming P.G handsome pretty boy type, he got injured trying to play football and bball.

During a championship game, he was choosing between benching him in the final game versus playing him.

My nephew texted me about the situation and his son texted me to ask me to pull a favor to get his dad to start him. So what Did I do?

I text him and told him I’ll see what I can do, then I texted his dad and said “you either want to win or score points with your son” I said this decision will be one of the biggest coaching decisions he has to make to his son.

The result, the team won.

Some good news?

Heat's supporting cast out for redemption in Game 3

"We just got to take advantage of our opportunities when we get them," forward Udonis Haslem said.

"Obviously, we understand that our two main guys are going to carry the bulk of everything, but somehow some way spread it out between the other four or five guys. We've got to try to make up some of that."

Yeah, the conflict of interest is always a nightmare, a similar situation happened when I was playing baseball back when I was like 12. The coach decided to make his son the starting pitcher for a playoff game when we had two better pitchers available. We lost the game and all the other parents started screaming at him. Being a coach is a tough, tough job especially when you have a kid or family member on the team.

Your counsel basically saved the game for your nephew's team, and it's good to hear you didn't cave to your nephew's son. I have to believe your nephew would have lost the respect of the team if he had went with playing his son and putting his son over the good of the team.

Our 5-5 season really should have been better, but we botched a late-game situation and in another loss, we lost our two best players because their families went on vacation together. Coaching is more fun than playing in certain respects because you can mold kids who'll be better than you ever were.

I won't be panicking until it's an elimination game. You guys worry too much. Just enjoy the games and save all the panic for when something really bad happens. Like losing an elimination game and getting sent home early.

1-1 in the second round is pretty normal. Wouldn't even be a huge thing if we went down 2-1. 3-1 is when you have to worry.

Wade has not had a Playoff Wade game all post-season... let's see how he does here.

EDIT: Wade has actually taken a huge step back from last year overall, he's gonna need to get back to being great if we wanna win it all.

He's been on a lil slump the last three games. I thought he played while prior as he is deferring to Bron, but is still being efficient.

Hopefully he can put some extra time before the game on shooting and just be aggressive
His shot needs to fall more consistently for us to win

Our bench needs to come to play
Spo needs to draw plays, get some movement other then pick and rolls with lebron and wade
James Jones needs to get some time
I'm not happy with Mike Miller at all, but that's my opinion

If Wade is still slumping, I just want him to attack the basket and get to the line :)

Mario needs to step up this game. 14 points 7 assists. That's not asking too much. Come on man, you're a starter for **** sake

Yeah, I did not even see all of last night's game, yet I can see where this is going.

Gonna stay off until we win this series, that is if, we decide to not play like crap, an our role players earn their pay checks.

Like said in another thread, without Bosh we need the supporting cast to hit 30 points. We are good enough to hold the Pacers under 90 points every single game, even without Bosh. LeBron and Wade are able to shoot 60 combined points against them even without having their jumpers on. IMO we need:
- Mario with a pair of 3s and a floater.
- Battier with a 3 and a weak lay-up.
- Miller with a pair of 3s.
- Haslem with 2 mid-range jumpers.
- Turiaf with 1 dunk and 1 'somehow-get-in'-lay-up.
- Joel with a tip-in.
Even if they are all off, that's the least you can ask for. Make that around 90 points and we are good.

LeBron and DWADE need 25 shots a piece. Screw being a playmaker LeBron. Be a gunner.

LeBron or someone needs to confront Wade on his play and his anger on the court. Remember, I think it was 2009, where we were getting blown out by the Knicks, and his lip got busted? He used that anger to fuel his game and bring the team back. Now all he does is fore arm shiver smaller guards, risking suspension, and still cry for foul calls.

Come on Wade. You are my favorite athlete, the face of Miami sports, our champion, an NBA ambassador. You should know better than that. I do not like how he has changed and how it has effected his play.

Here is to Wade breaking out tomorrow and Psyco T or David West not breaking him :/

Let's go Heat. Let's not suck.

The game comes down to Haslem, Joel and Spo. If they don't step up, we lose!

Spo & Haslem sucked game one but Joel caught the ball and played like an NBA basketball players.

Game 2, all 3 were terrible and we lost.

Everyone, even on other boards I frequent with longtime Heat fans are noticing this change in Wade. I seriously hope this guy gets his act together because he has not been the leader that he is supposed to be this season.
