^I preferenced my post with - I AM JUST THE MESSENGER. I don't have an opinion about the article either way.......If you do not like, disagree with or find it not useful o you, just move on to other articles that are more to your liking.

If the MODS have an issue with posted articles of this subject matter or a subject matter that YOU or others do not accept, then I will gladly STOP posted ARTICLES FROM OTHER SPORTS SITES...

p.s. in the middle of a slow/no/basketball time, why would anyone only want to read articles from one perspective/source/familiar posters.......???? - OK, GO RILEY SIGN ODEN......

You can have the last word on this, as I will not comment further on this

it's bleacherreport which means it's just a fan commenting. I don't know why you waste your time posting links to rubbish and then saying you're just the Messenger - stick to authentic sources

Don't tell me what to post and what not to post. Are you the person with the final say on what is 'RELIABLE" OR NOT, I'VE POSTED NEWS WITH LINKS FROM A LOT OF INDUSTRY people, and I've found that if people/posters don't like the source/person, they disregard it anyway,

So you disregard things that YOU feel are not worthy of your attention.

finally, I don't agree or like everything YOU post, but I would never limit what you posts, so of your sh@t IS useful/informative.. - FYI - bleacher report has reliable sources behind them, they bare a credible entity..

:lol: Don't shoot the Messenger!!!

@ WD - I didnt even read or cared about that link..was making a more genral point unrelated to you.

===========

lets chill with LBJ 2014 panic, it's not relevant in any way at this point in time..let's focus on this season and not turn every thread to be about LBJ's 2014 summer.

We really should sticky 1 thread about the 2014 summer..so pepople can post all the fun rumors they heard from such reliable sources such as bleacher report or their friend's mom's cousin that works in a salon that once catered Gloria James in 1988 (She said she loves Manhattan OMGGG!!!1).

I'm with Rex. The 2014 stuff is already tired and we're mucking up threads with different purposes with the stuff now. I don't even want to read about it in other threads, let alone this one. It's out of our control, and even out of LeBron's right now. He doesn't know what he's going to do. It's inane to speculate about it. We're back-to-back champs going for a threepeat. Can't we enjoy that?

Let's make a 2014 thread for all the masochists that feel the need to post every silly rumor to come down the pike.

I too was just making a general post for an article I was reading, it is not my opinion....If I appeared to attack you in error, then I sincerely apologize. We root for the same team..

When is Oden going to make up his mind. I feel like he's prolonging his decision for attention.

Yeah I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that hes deciding what city he is going to live in,which team makes the most sense from a basketball stand point,the opinions of his family and whether he is willing to leave money on the table.Obviously its an easy decision and hes just an attention whore.

@JaredZwerling 2h

Mo Williams is in the market for a higher deal than the veteran's minimum, so count the #Knicks out. Not a candidate.

Looking more and more like he's waiting out the Oden situation in hopes of coming here. Keep reading that we're apparently the only team he'd take the min from. Wonder what happened with Memphis.

I appreciate the emotional response. I'm just saying, Imo the decision couldn't be easier. Miami is perfect in every single aspect. Unless the heat have other plans, he should have signed a month ago.

Your opinion. This is his life. Not to mention he has agents to pay. Agents who are doing their best to pry as much cash out of teams as possible. This isn't just Greg sitting on his couch thinking "Hmm...Miami...New Orleans...San Antonio...Hmmm...."

You could say that same thing for any free agent we want.You have to remember these are people not basketball machines.

The more I think about it, the more I'm coming around on Mo Williams. He's a quality ballhandler and an elite shooter. Our Cole-Allen lineups were horrific last year, so for all of his flaws, I don't see how Mo could be a downgrade. We started blowing the lid off of teams when we went with 3 shooters + LeBron and a big. Mo would make that a lot easier, since we'd always have a shooter at the PG position.

I also like the idea of Mo as insurance. Right now, we don't have a backup plan at guard. If any of our 4 guards go down, we're searching the waivers for a replacement. There's no contingency on the roster. Mo would be a LOT better than anything we could potentially salvage out of free agency midseason. Let Cole be a situational defender.

If you look at our team last year, I'd say we had two major flaws. Our Cole-Allen units and our lack of a 7 footer. Oden + Mo could resolve those issues.

You say the Cole-Ray back court was bad, but just think of the Mo-Ray one. Cole helps mask Ray on defense. Might as well trot Shard or with them and field one of the worst 1-3 defensive lineups in the league.

Some of you here are 1) Way overrating Cole's defense, or at least the overall affect of it. 2) Way underratimg Mo's offense, and how much better it is than Cole's and even Rio's.

Norris' defense can't just make up for Ray's. It doesn't work that way. He's not cleaning up the penetration Ray allows. So the idea that he's balancing out Ray's D is absurd. There's a reason they were one of the worst +/- duos in the league last year. Cole is still a pretty terrible offensive player, and it makes those second units look worse than they should. For this reason, as well as his familiarity with him, I believe LeBron is pushing for Mo behind the scenes; hence the mutual interest. Wade and James would both love having Mo instead of NoNo running the point in that 2nd unit. Cole can't make plays for himself or teammates, nor hit spot up shots consistently. Williams can do all 3 better than any PG we've had here in ages, and it would make our stars' jobs way easier. The insurance element is also very important.

Mo is tailor-made for a bench-spark role. He'd flourish in that role for us. We envisioned Ray being a super-sub on his own, but he just can't be trusted to create on the level required. He and Mo would make a great offensive back court for LeBron and Wade to play off of when the other sits.

I'm betting Memphis offered the min. and nothing more. They're priority is usually to pinch pennies

Unless it's Gary Payton, a PG doesn't mask the defensive weakness of a SG. That's up to the help defenders/front court to do that
