Yeah right!
I see 33 people have responded and I can bet that none of those were the "Wade fanatics" or "Wade extremists" for whom this thread was made.
Anyway, hopefully everything works out and we sign Wade to a multiple year deal...because having this same conversation every year is tiresome

And I wonder why a separate thread needed to be created for "Wade fanatics" when certain posters have been in the other thread **** on Wade relentlessly since this one was created?
From cursing him because he's not out recruiting for us when he himself isn't even secured because Riley hasn't even given him a decent contract offer, to now suddenly saying it was LeBron who was the key to forming the Big 3 and not Wade

Saudades.

Maybe, just maybe, Riles and Arison prefer it that way? That's how all the FA meetings that I've been aware of have gone.

You are the one dissing Wade's vacation in the other thread relentlessly but when I called you out you put it here on Wade's thread. LOL

Are the Miami Heat winning a title without adding Kevin Durant? Let's be honest... probably not. But we'll still have a season to play and we all want something to cheer for. Wade's not going anywhere. He'll pout as much as he needs to, but after KD decides on OKC or Golden State, Riley will give in and give Wade what he wants. It's not like there's any real alternative.

Alternative is to rebuild. Not pay him what he wants, and say good luck else where. Zo can tell him all about it lol.

You can do that when Wade retires... and maybe when Riley retires, tbh

LOL, here we go again. So we wait until Wade's contract for this moment of clarity when you have a ton of money signed to everybody else til damn near the end of the decade.
But it's your best player that you're worrying about paying. No, you give him the 3 year deal that expires with Bosh who isn't going anywhere and you rebuild then.

it's hard to rebuild without any draft picks.

Some joker added a "3" to your board name. You can probably get an administrator to change it to "KD" if you ask nicely.

You don't have to choose sides. I'm pretty neutral about it all, I think most Heat fans are, that's why this thread is only 3 pages and not 100. 9/10 of us would give Wade a billion dollars if we could but also understand its difficult to balance that and making the team competitive, so we're just waiting for something to happen. Others are more cynical, either in Wade's favor (feel this organization has betrayed him or done him wrong somehow) or in the Heat's (feel we absolutely have to let Wade walk and he's not worth it).

Re: Dwyane Wade: The Road to Respectability
So when KD makes a choice and odds are its not us how does a 2/50 mil player option deal sound? That makes Wade the highest player on the team for 2 season stroking his ego. The player option makes him feel like he is in control and more likely to see him go a out and have a monster year. If Wade has another good year he opts out and we get capspace and can either resign him or use the cap space to go for 2 max free agents ( depending on the Bosh situation). Worse case its just a one year 25 mil expiring contract that can be moved as a last resort.
