All that just to spite us.

I hope the Heat pound Portland into the dirt for years to come.

Their coach still can't utilize a proper PG. But yeah, the Celtics with a PG that won't turn the ball over would be big for them.

This

I bet we could offer Lowry and 2 1st and Portland would take a Brogdon and 1st instead grom boston just to f with us

Eh that wont make me lose any sleep. Besides, i have doubts boston is in any position to add another major contract especially with Tatum’s contract extension coming up. They would be at record setting tax problems.

We got bigger fish to catch.. something will shake free at the deadline.. watch when some team like the warriors or clippers have a bad start of the season, theyll call us to see if we can take a star off their team.

We are not doing anything this season, some will push back I know, but we aren’t. Make no mistake about it, we missed out on a possible ring by not getting Dame. Possible because it wasn’t guaranteed. What is guaranteed now tho is that we are back to treadmill status

Say what you want about Heat not making a move. But we haven't been treadmill in Butler era. 2 finals, 3 ECF finals that's a contender. For sure Bucks would be favs next season and then Celts, but Heat would the 3rd team after those two. Depending on seeding Heat can find themselves in ECF again. But they'll have to take regular season seriously go for the no 1 seed.
I'm not gonna dismiss this team next season, they've proven they have heart and can beat teams with better talent

Won’t be celebrating chit until I see anything official in the future. Scared to look at Heat Twitter because I know it’s a shambles.

I'm refreshing my podcast feeds, I want to hear the rumored plan B (although Hield has been floated out there) because there was always the chance this didn't happen.

Riley's ego got the best of him on this one. Poorly handled.

Whats next?

Gimme Hamidou Diallo and something to address out lack of size.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

No **** I've been saying this since Miami let him go to Phoenix for pennies on the dollar. This is the issue with whale hunting, you sometimes ignore some great values on high level players. This summer it was Beal (to chase Lillard), a few years ago it was CP3 just after acquiring Butler (to chase Giannis)

23 is up there but I'd still go with '14 summer. The day Riley got bamboozled by Rich Paul and the airplane tracking of LeBron was hilarious

there it is right there. one thing i learned about this whole fiasco is how easily people are manipulated by tweets and talking heads pushing a narrative instead of thinking objectively. Adam silver got involved who works for the billionaire owners that said nah shut that shyt down. we were attacked from all angles so im not going to jump on the pat hate bandwagon when they wouldnt even talk to us. see what the youngins can give us and let Herro prove he is the Future with Bam.

the real enemy is the Suns tho. they got Beal then helped portland keep Dame away from us. we might have a front office rivalry with Jones being this generations new godfather :o

My expectations won't be high for this season so I'll just enjoy seeing the young guys develop now. Not that we were favorites or anything anyways.

Same as last season. 0 expectations and we're 2 wins away from the chip.

This team is at its best under the radar.

This is the weakness of going after whales and trying to use leverage as a real asset, you sometimes don't get the guys you could get but you also don't lose trades. There's pluses and minuses for each approach of acquiring talent.

I thought the issue with Beal was that he chose not to come here? Something about his NTC?

Bam is still the best whale hunter as it currently stands. Can't convince me otherwise.
