1. We need all the picks we can get in order to trade for the next star. Be it Fox or someone else.

2. Beal isn't a bad player, I'd argue he's better then Rozier in every aspect and Terry is logging heavy minutes here.

3. The 2026 free agency is a mirage, no star player is signing into cap space. it's all trades. we'll have other expiring in 2026 in Duncan and Terry.

Give me 3 picks and a decent player, I rather that then keeping jimmy or getting the Middelton/Portis/Smart/Luke Kennard type of poo poo platters.
Jimmy B trade report! The Bucks wants Beal so Miami can get the players they want to ship Jimmy to the Suns. It's coming soon!

Disagree. That FA class is pretty deep. Even if you miss out on the top tier guys, there’s plenty of talent to round out a roster.

Luka and SGA are the cream of the crop but beyond those guys you have a lot of talent left

Fox
Lavine
T Young
Holgrem
J Williams(OKC might struggle to keep all 3)
Vanfleet
Ayton
Hartemstein
Jaren Jackson
J Collins
Sexton
Anfernee Simmons
Dort
Hachimura
Etc.

I’d bet that most of these guys, especially Trae, Luka, and SGA, will get extensions early. The bird rights supermax would be tough to pass up.

Lol Pat ain’t playin’ w/ Jimmy’s sulky a*s. I hated his last 2 performances. What a selfish f*ck Butler is. Your beef is w/ FO….why you continue to f*ck w/ the guys who fought wars w/ you. We trying to win games & all he’s thinking about is himself. Absolute selfish, entitled behaviour. Im excited for what ever moves will come of this.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Agreed. There’s also the potential for S&Ts if they wait. Miami would hold leverage of outright being able to sign guys. But if there’s an offseason you want money it’s that one.

Heat are not taking Beals contract after all this fuss of not paying Butler the same damn contract. Beal misses just as much games. Heat want clean out of the lux tax. The 3 low level first are not going to get them to budge. Not going to happen. At this point they will just sit him. I think worst case he finishes as rental with another team

Just amazing how bad that Beal contract is. Not only did he get the max, he also got a NTC. And c'mon, not like he was a legit game changer out there. Just was the best guy on a meh Wizards team.

Even thou I wanted Beal, you can see why the Heat passed on him because of his contract.

Call it how i see it. Heat have made their position loud and clear. This isn’t just about 2026 it’s also about not paying tax for the next few years. Zero chance they take on Beal or LaVine for that matter who has a 15% trade kicker.

I always knew for sure Beal and LaVine would never be options but thought a trade would have been done by now. Jimmy went from any team but Miami then it’s become only Suns and that has made this situation just an utter mess. The Suns want us to tap out and throw the Beal grenade on us and probably working with Jimmy at this point to make things as uncomfortable as possible. Heat need to just keep Jimmy away until the deadline. If the Suns can’t find a taker for Beal by the deadline then I think Jimmy finally taps out and finishes out the year in Memphis or whatever team gives the Heat the contracts and picks it wants. Heat FO is dug in. A Beal trade would have been done already so i think it’s useless talking about Beal and 3 picks coming here.

It's going to come down to the wire and some team will say screw it and make the move for Jimmy. Might be the Grizzlies or Bucks.

It will be a win if Miami gets at least 1 FRP out of the deal to go with expirings after this season or 2026.

If that’s all that’s on the table I think the Heat ride into next offseason with him on the roster.

Jimmy himself is a 25 opt out or 2026 expiring.

Riley is a tough SOB, he doesn’t want to get suckered.

This right here. If we can come out with just one 2027 pick it at least cleans up the Rozier trade and opens us 2028, 2030, and 2032 to trade next year.

Return to Miami Heat
