Not trying to be a prick, but this thread is moot, seeing Paxson will not pass on Rose. And rumors suggest that should Collins is officially announced as HC of the Bulls, he wants Rose as the pick. I am going to go out on a limb, and say with ALMOST certainty (98.193657%, for shoots and giggles) Derrick Rose will be a Chicago Bull.
Not that Beasley will be a bad compensation pick.
ROSE -WADE...how would this work?

That is exactly what I keep thinking about Rose.
He hasn't shown Chris Paul vision or ANY outside shooting ability. He hasn't created shots for his teammates and doesn't hit guys creatively near the basket.
Sure, his system hasn't asked him to do that stuff but just because someone hasn't had to do something doesn't mean they will be great if they finally try it.
Some players improve their shooting as they get older, but there is no reason to think that Rose has any better chance of developing an outside shot, than any other player in the draft. Right now, Beasley is a far better long range shooter than Rose.
Rose MIGHT develop Paul's vision and passing but I don't understand how anyone can expect it. No one expected Paul to do it.

I'm in the camp of taking Beasley personally. Rose is great, but where is the frontcourt scoring going to come from? If we keep Marion, he's a SF who gets his points of 3's, dunks and putbacks. Haslem is serviceable, but not a legitamte frontocurt scorer, and we don't have an impact center anymore.
I'd like to see Beasley because he he is versatile can score, rebound and can shoot as well. A pick and roll would be dangerous with him and Wade. Wade and Nash are probably the most dangerous pick roll players in the league and Beasley can work the pick and roll and the pick and pop.
As for the rest of the backcourt. I actually liked the idea I saw on the wiretap of Hinrich coming here. With a player dynamic as Wade, I just don't think Rose is a dire need. Yes, Rose will take the pressure off Wade and can create, but we just need a PG would can can create when necessary, score when needed, and can shoot from outside I know the Wade/ Hinrich are rivals and I always got the feeling they don't even like eachother, but I can see that working and he can play defense.
Our frontcourt looks a little thin, and our rebounding was terrible last year. I like the idea of Beasley coming here.
I wouldn't mind taking Rose however, if we move Marion for a legit post scoring option, then that would probably work out better than Beasley coming here straight up. I like Marion here but not at that pricetag. He's definately overpaid for what he does and I know he's going to probably ask for at least 13-15 mill per year.
