So we have:

C - Haslem / Blount
PF - Beasley
SF - Marion / Jones
SG - Wade / Cook
PG - Chalmers / Banks

9 players.

We will be bringing back JoEl Anthony as far as I know, and as long as Dorell has a qualifying offer I guess that spot is reserved. I'm guessing Zo will get a contract at mid-season (and if we suck he could latch on to a contender to play out his last games) so he doesn't count.

So that's 11 guys.

We have qualifying offers out on Quinn, Lasme and Powell right? Possibly looking at a LLE guy for the C position and then there is the possibility (likelyhood?) of a 2 or 3 for one trade with Marion.

C - Haslem / Blount / Kwame (example)
PF - Beasley / Anthony
SF - Marion / Jones / Wright
SG - Wade / Cook
PG - Chalmers / Banks

Leaving 3 spots if Marion stays, 2 or 1 probably if he goes. Lasme has to be a frontrunner, especially if he can play some PF (Powell is a SF and we are deep, Quinn is no better than our PG's)

Oh man, I'm giddy.


Chalmers is splitting double teams like D-Wade and finding shooters like a legit PG.

And Beasley has shown such improvement on shot selection, and willingness to pass. Hes actualyl trying to set his scrub teammates up this game.

This is like the third time the PG has stolen the ball on the inbounds pass.. How hard could it possibly be to throw the ball up the court ahead of Chalmers and let him run it down lol

Lasme had a great game and has looked good throughout summer league. I think he will make the team for sure and in time could become a rotational player for the Heat. He is a very good defender (shot blocker) and an improving shot (looks very fluid).

Beasley has looked pretty good tonight. He is a scoring machince and makes things look so smooth. I think the Heat's coaching staff will continue challanging Beasley to become a more all around player which will only make Beasley better in the future.

Chalmers is great. This guy has done an incredible job so far in summer league and should put to rest any need for a PG. He played Russell Westbrook really good today. Westbrook had some moments today but so did Chalmers.

I did not see any game but the first. Looking at the boxscore, Beasley's and Chalmers' numbers weren't as gaudy as they have been at other points during this league, but BOTH finally shot the ball well, and that is a very positive sign.
