I just want to drop my 2 cents into this discussion. Now, understand that Ron Artest is not one of my favorite players. I like his game, he's got so much talent, but his head is just way too big to respect. As for comparing him to Marion, they're just two different players. When it comes to hustling on the court, they're equal. Looking at Ron Ron's career stats to judge his shooting ability is not really fair, he's improved his shooting considerably over the past couple of years. He's become a very reliable shooter from anywhere on the floor and can create his own shot, something I don't see Marion doing very much. In addition, Ron's post game and ability to over-power defenders in the post is what I think puts him over Marion. Physically, he's just stronger and wider. And I extremely disagree with whoever said Artest is not versatile on defense because he's gaurded point gaurds and power forwards very well. They're pretty much equal on defense, but offensively Ron Artest is just better. But yes, he's a nutcase, so there's always risks, but if we're talking about who is the better player straight-up, I'd go with Ron.
If you're asking who is the better fit on the Miami Heat, I would go with Marion.
