I know it’s sounds odd, but losing Ware for the 4th quarter seemed to be a momentum shift

Spo has been doing this for the past few games too. Phasing out Ware and letting Bam play center in the closing minutes.

But I agree, he could've been a big defensive presence, and those offensive rebounds by the Knicks might have been avoided.

He should try phasing out Bam in the closing minutes and letting Ware run IDK

Spo needs his chick back

If we defend better in the 2nd half or rebound we also win this game.

yeah...this....

I think the 4th qtr declines over and over and over are just telling us how close we are. Everything is fine until the 4th qtr and the lack of a legit PG/set up rears its ugly head.

The team spent the offseason rebuilding an offense that never really had the expected players on the court...we got PG issues, we lost Jimmy..... Hell we saw Bron-Wade-Bosh flail around in the beginning ....it should be no surprise our mid-season rebuild is taking time to settle in.

I am impressed, and looking forward to next year. Tank out this one, get the guys we want in the draft, retool the roster with parts that fit and lets go.

Bam played great today. Kudos to him.. Bravo! Having said that, he is not a closer and we need one. Now EITB him having a max salary and and Herro also having a big contract, is there room (financially) for another another max contract/superstar player? Where are the cap space experts of his forum?

It's possible if we shaved off Rozier and Anderson contract, you could throw Wiggs contract there as well.

This game he deserves all the shots.

Well I think if anything this proved what I've been saying for awhile, which is that Bam makes a choice to not shoot the ball. It doesn't have anything to do with the offense. Almost all of those plays down the stretch started with the ball in Bam's hands and he set the screen and gave it up instead of taking his man off the dribble like he had the plays before. Even after hitting two ridiculously tough J's back to back. It's almost like he thinks he shouldn't press his luck after he sees some go down :banghead:

On the other hand you have Tyler. It's kinda crazy that he and Herro are the exact opposite. Tyler will keep shooting no matter what. In fact, in this game he lost all **** composure when he kept missing shots he knows he can normally make and just kept chucking. Imo, I put this one on him above anyone else, with Spo second. You can't keep taking the wind out of the team like that.

It's frustrating because he has all the tools and potential to be a top 10 superstar, but he just can't put it together consistently. It doesn’t help when Herro is chucking shots tonight, though. I really wish UD was still on the bench; I bet he’d be in Bam's ear all game, saying, "Just demand the damn ball, killah!"

I've never really agreed that Bam has all the tools to be a superstar like others. Physically I can see the argument, but offensively he's never been like that. I've always said its a disservice to him to act like he can be. However he can be a lot more of an impactful player on offense than he is if he just looks for his shot.

Tyler...idk. He doesn't have superstar potential either, but we have seen he can be an all star. Even in this game, in the first half he was brilliant. But my God when he is bad he is awful. Zero basketball IQ. Just goes straight into tunnel vision.

Both our "stars" are just sporadic mentally. One is liable to be a coward on any given night, the other is liable to be a complete and utter moron. There is no way you can win consistently with that.

Tyler throws good lobs to Bam otherwise they don’t compliment each others games well. It’s either one or the other every single night never both

This is true, but come on. Some of those shots he took were a dagger...for the other team. He was bad tonight. It's okay for us to say it. He's been the sole, consistent bright spot on the team this year until Bam finally started to look good the past month. He will have off games, just gotta learn from them.

Yes, there are Heat "fans" who are jubilating that he had a bad game, but actual fans are just telling it like it is.

Take the ball out of Herro's hands, get a real pg and turn Tyler into a super Duncan/Caleb and have him shoot or attack the rim, same with Bam...put the thinking into hands of a dedicated PG.

People talk about Trae ....I think that would be godly. Unlike the Hawks we have guys that can cover for him on defense, and he could share the load on offense.
