Kyrie

Yes I agree with this but I also believe if Jimmy has the hot hand give it to him. It shouldn’t be set in stone. Used to piss me off how LeBron always took the last shot when Wade was here (who is one of the most clutch players ever) just because he’s LeBron

Cause LeBron was the man and remains the league daddy.

Is there no other way we could make an offer for KD? The Nets are going into a full rebuild if they trade Kyrie and KD, they don't need established stars. I wonder if the market will get that strong for someone his age despite that he is still performing at a superstar level.

Would you rather give up jimmy and run KD and Bam then? Their is no other option outside of that

Its so interesting that Pat is doing Lebron a favor by not bidding seriously for Kyrie.

All in the hope that the Nets will eventually trade Durant to us. Remember he has 4 years left on his contract so unless he's going to sit out like Ben Simmons, Durant has very little say where he is traded.

Bam is barely enough as it is. Yes Durant is a top 3-8 guy so yeah he's the hype.

Probably because Durant is a better match with Jimmy. Kyrie is great but Durants height and range is another dimension.

He sure wanted to score on that brick that lost the Celtics series. I wasn't mad at it, though.

Which team is more lethal

Irving/Vincent
Herro/Strus
Butler/Robinson
“PJ”/Jovic
Bam/Yurtsven

Vs.

Lowry/Vincent
Strus/Robinson
Butler
Durant/“PJ”/Jovic
Yurtsven

Idk about free agency pick ups and I just added PJ just because but you get the point

Maybe if Herro is rerouted too another team for a star to go to Brooklyn. I doubt it

So essentially would you rather have Bam Kyrie and Herro or KD. Give me the option that wins us a championship now and has us set up for a great future.

I think Lowry would be here still if we get Durant though

The first team is far better. Jimmy/KD is good enough to win any single game but in the playoffs we’d be relying on too many scrubs and unproven guys. The first team has 3 bucket getters (ky, herro, jimmy). On the note though, every time I think to switch my stance on Kyrie I pull up one of his interviews…he is a real looney toon and I cant be mad at the FO for not wanting to surrender all of our assets.

No way the A team happens, but that's the one I would pick. Its younger, you still magically have Herro which we can trade for an upgrade at PF and we keep bam with his great defense.

Team B is interesting, we blow up our defense and our defensive identity for more offense. Is Yurtsven a starter? How good will Vincent be? Butler would be our point guard in crunch time since Durant is more of a finisher scorer. It would be interesting to see if Spo can adapt to this team and play to their strengths.

Hmm seeings these teams lined up i would say the Kyrie team has better spacing for Butler to operate and better defense too. Fat chance keeping Herro though

It is true we would be relying on a lot of unproven and undrafted players if we got KD. Also the fact that Lowry is a shell of his former self as well. It would really depends on how good we would do in free agency by getting vet minimum deals. Might have to put haslem on the court too

Kyrie Irvin value is low. Lower than Ben Simmons. Its a good chance Nets may have to pay to move Kyrie. However they do not have draft picks i think they pretty much broke on picks. They will have to take bad contracts in return. Kyrie has a huge problem. Teams are not gonna want to extend him long term. He might get a 1 and 1 contract for the rest of his career.

He bet all the cards and lost. I was fine with it too.
