I kinda hope Miami has some interest in Yabusele. Kid needs culture. When the cap situation is figured out they should look into two-waiting him.

Pat Riley to Butler & Westbrook..."There was an idea...to bring together a group of remarkable people. So you could become something more...so when we need you, you could fight the battles that the young guys never could."
If we get Westbrook we're in the end game guys.

If we land Westbrook. Who becomes the face. Who gets the bulk of the shots? I mean Westbrook is the better player.

Dunno, would actually say it's Butler, unless last year was some sort of anomaly for Russ

I know it's been 3 first round exits, but he did lead OKC to the playoffs in the west with no KD or PG13

Re: 2019 Heat Offseason thread 4.0- Yimmy Eastbrook and the Kids?
If Olynyk or JJ go as part of the 'inevitable' trade, would like us to take a cheap flyer on Trey Lyles as a backup 4 and is now an Unrestricted Free Agent.
We're gonna need all the floor spacers we can get our hands on. Lyles had a down year in DEN last szn, but he can shoot it. He's a Kentucky guy, you just know Pat wants to catch 'em all (Pat Ketchum).
The other option for mine would be Dragan Bender, who I've called for previously. Would be worth a look as a backup 4/5, still so young. We have had success with former Suns that haven't panned out...lets try again.
On the guard/wing front, Justin Holiday and Kyle Korver hold some degree of interest for me, on the cheap.

Legit wouldn't lose sleep at throwing DJJ in any trade.

Re: 2019 Heat Offseason thread 4.0- Yimmy Eastbrook and the Kids?
Andre Iguodala (MEM) for Goran Dragic would be a good move. We get some space under the apron so we can sign veteran minimums. Dragic could be useful for Memphis who are bringing Morant up to speed. Both deals are expirings.

That was a looong time ago. And westbrook's game doesn't exactly portend to aging well

Reminder: Westbrook shot 38% from the field in his last 3 first round exits.

Low key might be an idea that helps with the OKC deal - saving those few $ and shifting from a PG to a SF might be enough to make OKC happy to take the deal without a 3rd. Iggy May be willing to agree to a buy-out ahead of time that gets them below the tax line:
To Grizz - Dragic
To Thunder - Winslow, Waiters, Iguodala
To Heat - Westbrook, Patterson
It’s dollar for dollar for us, $2m down for Thunder (so any buy-out for Iggy will get them under the tax line), and Grizz get a player to mentor Ja. Grizz may be looking for an asset to do this swap though ...

I suggest you take a look at Dame's numbers and also their career playoff FG% number too.

OKC would thrive off any pressure heat front office might feel to get Russ. I want to do my bit as a fan to say, no pressure. Don’t overspend. I like where this team is going and have faith you’ll find a better option to put next to Jimmy in the future.

Russ ain’t one for media attention really. I can imagine he regretted the **** and articles it might have created.
Still feel this is getting done real soon. I’m scared of the cost...see how it shakes out.

Maybe out of respect for the fans on OKC since he still a member of the organization for now.
