For that money and a similar impact/fit I'd rather have John Collins.
John Collins is not an option. Collins has to become an option for one to say rather. I rather have Durant. Porzingis being publicly disgruntled for a while now and the fact that the Mavs, did shop him before the trade deadline makes him a reasonable option. And Porzingis asked to be traded to Miami once before.
Collins, Lillard and Leonard are not options. Players that fans would like but there never been any indications that they will be on the market to move. Sure if one of those players make it known that they want to be moved to Miami, then it will be an option.
So Collins, Lillard, and Leonard aren't options, even though 2 of the 3 will be free agents this off-season, but KP is an option since he's disgruntled.........because you say so? Lol. Sounds like something LEIF would say.
No offense, but YOU don't make the criteria. People can talk about whatever "options" they'd like. I don't know who you think you are to determine what players are "options" and what players are not.
They probably aren't going to be available because of their situations.
Collins is a RFA, yes Atlanta would like to pay less for him but at this point they can't let him go, they have other contracts they're going to be able to move if they need space under the tax.
Leonard did the LeBron move with the 2+1 contract so he'll be able to hold the Clipper's hostage with his free agency to get them to do his bidding. If he wants George moved they'll move him. If LA fails to win a championship this year, I could absolutely see them going after Lowry themselves with some expiring's and a young player or draft asset(or draft for Toronto this season and then trading that player and expirings).
Lillard is everything for Portland and they just fired their coach to take one more shot with their roster in hopes a different style will get a better result. If anything it'll keep their fans hopeful and if they end up getting D'Antoni they'll get to see Lillard in the Harden role and possibly push his value even higher if they decide to move him next year.
