This team will be making zero trades. Lowry will be allowed to play out the final year of his deal and based off his recent play wants to go out on a high note. The only way we trade him at this point is if he's hurt at the deadline and we attach a pick to him. The only thing I see is possibly signing a vet buyout PG. Think maybe someone like Patty Mills for end of the bench depth. Lowry's contract is truly the front office get out of tax jail free card for next year.

0 trades... I agree... Furthermore, I applaud the Notion unless something very good fell into Our lap... For example, Annoyed young All Star...Tatum To play in Miami along With Bam So finally they get to win a championship??

You’re likely right moreso because Pat is washed and it’ll lead to another non-championship season whether we’re bounced in the 2nd round or take game 7 of the finals.

Let’s let Lowry actually show a good stretch of games before we start jumping to conclusions though, he’s had 2-3 good games this season and was/is having his worst season in a Heat jersey until last game heavily inflated his numbers

Lowry has been pretty solid all year, and fact is he's the only real PG on the roster. A buyout candidate does make a lot of sense. Spo and the rest of the FO felt pretty good about the team coming into the season and they appear to have been right despite all of the whining by fans the first week of the season.

If Boston traded Tatum to Miami their fans would literally riot.

Tatum to Miami would never happen.

Vet PG buyout signing seems even more likely if Dru is out for a while. I think it happens regardless.

With $28,840 below the supertax apron, a buyout doesn't seem likely at all. Add $1,376,000 the part that isn't guaranteed of Smith's contract and maybe there is a way to add a vet-min player in March. Still not a great situation. For sure, Hampton is coming back to Miami now, and the Heat may need too exchange Cain or Swider for a young guard. This sucks.

Edit: Hampton also has a serious knee injury.

So, Swider & Cain are joining the team in New York, while Orlando Robinson heads to SXF to play next to Jovic.

Previous calculation was wrong. I think this is correct.

174 days in season. $1,961,231 = $11,271.44 per day.

$425,000 = 37.7 days at $11,271.44 per day

Season started on Oct 24. Dec 2, Miami can sign another minimum contract if they waive Smith. Cannot sign earlier without going over the apron.

Obviously another possibility is ending Hampton's deal and just exchanging it for another 2-way player. Bouyeah would be fine. His defense is pretty good, even if he is limited offensively.

You would think this would be a common OSHA violation. That ledge can't be code league, it does not appear to be marked or anything.

Robinson is not a 2-way player. He has a standard minimum nba contract.

Code: Select all

Orlando Robinson   PF   MIA   2025-2026   24   3   Bird

Miami has his bird rights.
