Still need to find a way to dish off Rozier for Ball or Brogden.

I don’t think so, teams aren’t really defending him much and gameplanning for him much yet. They’re going to have to adjust though or he’s hopefully going to continue making them pay. When they adjust I’d assume his numbers will level out some but this will lead to better opportunities for others so that’ll be a plus. If he can level out around 15-8 a night that’d be huge and he’d win ROY pretty easily

I still think there's some Durant intrigue here...
Is Jimmy x durant that crazy?

Ishbia gains nothing from tanking cuz they have no picks... Jimmy wants out cuz he wants $$$.
Durant wants to win and knows where ever he goes he will get paid.

So if they can't send beal out, what are they gonna win with that roster. Jimmy is their best shot at being competitive. Durant won't want to go to a bad team. And will a team like CLE or OKC break up their roster sending dudes like dort or Garland out for Durant? And maybe MIL makes sense, why would suns want middleton and portis, etc.

Jimmy is legit their best shot of locking up an all star caliber player for 3 more years. And bam ware herro better supporting cast than book Beal nurkic... idk... rambling but part of me feels Riley holding out for this.

Would be hilarious if after all this we sent them JJJ, Robinson, Rozier, and some picks for KD

They’ll find a buyer. Butler will be a Sun, it’s just a matter of when.

If what I’m hearing has any merit, not sure how excited many will be about our end return.

If there is one Gm I believe would not make whatever deal to spite the player, it is Riley. Why not make an example of Butler? In the end, Butler can hoot, holler, and miss team functions, but that doesn't change the reality of his FA options or than any trade/S&T requires Miami's cooperation.

The more attention he gets the more good looks others will have. I agree.

I feel like Jaime can benefit from Ware a lot. Those paint forays. Having Ware there will help a lot.

JJJ has to tighten those handles up, keep his balance a bit better before we benefit from it.

It's eerily similar to how Bam is viewed in today's forum.

It takes two to tango. The team on the other side would still like a fully engaged Butler. As we get closer to the deadline and Suns tap out then so will Jimmy and concede to finishing out the year with Memphis which in the end is a great basketball landing spot. Some’s dream scenario of sticking it to Butler and sending him to purgatory makes no sense cause the teams in those situations don’t have the need to take on the headache. It still needs to make sense. The Grizzlies make sense

None of us hated that Bam. Would love for current Bam to resemble this Bam. Like two totally different players.

Who here hates Bam? So weird to take it to that extreme, but I'm used to that guy's talk now, lol

Anywho, the only problem w Bam abandoning 3 and getting back to the middle game is, does Bam n Ware fit together on the court if Ware occupies the middle?
Yes, Bam is the cornerstone of the franchise n the management still believes in him i think.
It's no hate. Just trying to assemble the best team.

Again, Butler is looking for another $50M beyond what he can opt in for. Currently, there are only 3 paths to that: accept a trade, hope and pray Brooklyn pays him, or hope and pray Miami S&T him after rolling the dice opting out.

Well, Bosh was a clear #3 on that team by a mile. So you generally do pick apart the weakest one of the "Big Three". It was actually Big Two, tbh. And I do love Bosh n his game and his contribution here, and that big rebound.
God forbid Bam is a distant #3 of this new Heat. That would be bad. He's gotta be a #2 or #2b at least

Times sure have changed.

Herro, with a 24 PPG average, is ranked 19th in scoring.

When I started watching, that wouldve been top 10.

People tend to be very reactionary to every play in the game threads, you know. I don't put too much weight there

im noticing that too. he has a soft touch around the rim and he does a good job of passing out if he doesnt have a shot. The offense built around him as a 1st option looks like it could work for the future

Probably not rn. But maybe in 3 years? If he keeps developing n puts some weight on his body?

Bam is a g. Things are in flux and he’s the captain trying to hold down the fort gotta give him some slack. If we get rid of Jimmy, then he sucks the rest of the year and then it even goes into next year then we gotta start asking ourselves wtf is going on. Also he does so much out there hes never gonna be on 100% on both sides of the court at all the times.

What were people saying on the forum about Bron at the time when he choked hard I’m curious lol ?

Losing to the bucks the way we did also didn’t do us any favours with the trade lets be honest.

Spo shoulda rallied the guys and said if you want to be done with the drama and have butler gone go out and beat them by 30.

Return to Miami Heat
