Free agent center Greg Oden to make decision next week picking from Sacramento, Miami, ATL, NO, San Antonio & Dallas, source told Y! Sports.

Gonna have to wait another week, people. Decision part 2...lets go. Someone call ESPN

Erik Spoelstra and Heat personnel and scouting director Chet Kammerer scouted Greg Oden's workout today in Indianapolis.

Lol are we ever gonna do anything else besides scout? Maybe Riley wants him and told spo to check him out.. Who knows man.

Dude.. At least with bron, 50 of the 60 mins was about his career accomplishments up until that point.

For oden.. I don't think they have enough material for even a 2 min commercial. Lol

He should pick the Pelicans.

I don't think Oden should join Miami, as there is too much pressure and spotlight, not to mention he is also injur prone and the Heat could easily waste money by signing him. Plus, didn't Oden also have some alcohol issues when he was in the NBA? If that's the case then Miami's nightlife would not suit well for him.

For his sake, he should pick the Pelicans but I do think Miami will probably end up signing him.

Im trying to figure out something, Oden is not gonna get a long term guaranteed deal here, so whichever team he signs with, w/e contract it is. Hes playing for the NEXT contract. So lets look at his perspective. Sure, playing for the Pelicans could lessen the pressure, the spotlight wont be on him. But question, what will get him the biggest contract after this one? Playing for the Pelicans, on a team that will never make the playoffs, or playing for the heat, possibly making an impact on a title team. Playing in the finals.

U could argue both ways, it ends up depending on Oden, if hes scared of the pressure, scared of the spotlight. Then sign with NO. But if he REALLY wants a big payday after this short term one. Playing out of the spotlight isnt exactly beneficial. And actually, its not like the heat will ask him to contribute right away, get u 20 and 10 a night. We're asking for limited minutes, and offering him time to get back into game shape. Obviously, if he never plays, then hes not gonna showcase anything. But i dont think hes Eddy Curry. I think he WILL make some kind of impact. Maybe birdmanesque, and that will get him a big long term team with some team.

Hes injury prone, well obviously. But that has to be the risk the heat are willing to take. I mean u look at it this way, at this point in free agency. Who else out there are u willing to give money to that will help us? I cant even name 3. Gary Neal has popped up and i wouldnt mind him but we need SIZE. U gotta take this risk, if ur the heat. It might pan out, it might not. But u have to.

The pic was taken around 3. Here's a little more:

Instagram convo from the pic

e_dufflebagz Is he joining the Miami heat ???

camerongriffin @e_dufflebagz I think so. He seemed like it

e_dufflebagz Did u ask

camerongriffin @e_dufflebagz yeah. He said "We'll see." And was smiling.

Kid looks about 14, so take it with a grain of salt. FWIW I asked him on Twitter what their vibe was like and he said Greg seemed very happy.

If we're stretching for the bright side angle, he is in Indiana. He could've been like "**** no! Go Pacers!" to pander.

@JeffRabjohns 2m

NBA sources who watched tell me former Indiana Mr. Basketball Greg Oden's workout went "great" today at Trader's Point in Indianapolis.

This is nowhere near 2010, but I'm starting to feel like I'll be pretty peeved if this doesn't happen. The possibilities are so delicious.

Just in case anyone wasn't sure that meeting with Spo was after the workout.

Greg Oden went through a two-hour workout Tuesday in Indianapolis in front of Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, new Sacramento Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro and representatives from the New Orleans Pelicans, according to sources close to the situation.

Sources told ESPN that Oden will put his skills on display again Thursday for Atlanta Hawks officials before sitting down for his long-anticipated private meeting with the Pelicans later this week in Las Vegas.

The San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks also continue to pursue Oden hard. One source close to the process told ESPN.com that teams in the Oden hunt are still in the information-gathering stage and that none has yet put forth an official offer to the former No. 1 overall pick.

"It went well," the source told ESPN about the workouts. "He did a ton of agility stuff, ran suicides and also did drills on the court."

Sources maintain that Miami and San Antonio, fresh off dueling in the NBA Finals, are still positioned as the co-favorites for Oden's services. ESPN.com reported earlier this month that the Cleveland Cavaliers were also in the Oden mix until the recent signing of center Andrew Bynum.

No formal offers yet. Perhaps we told him to see what he can get on the market, and we'll match up to the MMLE if need be.
