Aw crap. Blake, Hayward, George all to Boston? No depth though and they'd have to skin that roster thin to afford them all I think.

If ur right on Riles, then Miami picks a project of a back-up PF/C and turns around to shell out multi-year deals to Dion and JJ. Then await the poison pill portion of TJ's contract to take hold..... LOL.... The SALT for some here will rival the Red Sea!

If We start the season strong i could see Pat keeping him. If this team is underperforming by FEB, then he might lighten up the cap by trading him off, or try to trade for that player he realy likes. Even though he doesnt have any picks to add.

Hope ur right about this. Miami still has it's 1st top 7 protected in a good draft. So there's always hope with that.

But when that contract was initially reported, that was an eye opener for me but figured the increase in the salary cap would nullify it's impact but now seeing the number regress makes it a potential albatross in my book. Especially if you consider the reason behind the decrease of the cap, the low number of playoff games. Spurs really need to improve along with Celts in order to give GSW and Cleve a run for their money to get those numbers going in the right direction.....

I didnt mind it at the time because we didnt have a legit starter at SG, & i thought maybe he could become that. Untill Dion showed what he can do. Now i see him as trade bait unless he becomes invaluable to the teams playoff push.

Why does Bam have to be a 3 point shooter? I rather him play closer to the rim for rebounding reasons. I am perfectly happy with him hitting shots from 15, to 18 feet out. It doesnt have to be 3 pointers.
I also see him as a back up C, not a PF, at least not just yet. He is simply the replacement for Reed who will get over $8mill from someone in my opinion.

Spacing. If he was simply a replacement for reed we wouldn't have drafted him.

For now he is, untill he shows more. Then as he get better he could play some PF as well. It all depends on him

Wasn't necessarily talking about running small at the 3. I would rather sign another vet though, not too high on Rudy Gay. He's just a straight up scorer at this point and i feel we already have that in Waiters. He wouldn't bring anything else to the table.
