He's going to end up getting his money (from my understanding, these appeals can take up to a year) and Miami likely knows it. They're just making a point. This is about money? We'll hit you there. You can sit down and wait.

Riley isn't going to be walked all over. He's played his last game in Miami, IMO.

If there is no market for him and it looks that way, he will stay on the roster. And since Money talks, assuming he is not traded, I fully expect him to opt in to his 50+ and make sure we get hit with the repeater tax penalty. If there is one thing the Heat hate is to pay the tax, thats where this will hurt Mickey.

Market will open up. They’ll get something done while Butler is on suspension. Bought them time while he’s away.

Yup they are top 3. Smart, Konchar, Clarke, and Kennard along with multiple 1st would have to be deal.

Don’t love the lack of a young prospect to add to our core though.

Yep, 2 alpha’s throwing sh*t at each other. This’ll be fun to watch.

At the end of the day are younglings are developing well for the future of this organisation. We’re winning gm’s w/out Jimmy. Tyler has emerged a highly improved player skill & IQ wise. Our players are in similar time line. W/ Jimmy wanting out it can only potentially improve us for the future. We’ll be ok. Jimmy is the one who shld be worried here. He’s not in the drivers seat, esp at his age, health & attitude history.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

The picks are the most important in this deal. We have plenty of young core to work with

Wiggins would be a fit here and become our POA guard defender. Shooting 40ish% from 3s this season too.

Wiggins isn't an exciting acquisition, but he's a solid vet. If Golden St is Butler's destination, it would almost have to be a 3-way deal unless Miami was willing to acquire (and extend) Kuminga.

In any case, Wiggins and Payton II would be a good start. Ideally Miami will get a 3rd or 4th team involved to bring in several pieces, with Robinson and/or Rozier moving on, as well.

If Miami is going to continue to play small-ball and try to create a roster that can match up with the Knicks and Celtics, then Miami should be looking to acquire a big SF like Cam Johnson, Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant, or even Michael Porter Jr. Another option would be to acquire a PF like Julius Randle or John Collins.

Just as an example (mainly using it because I got it to work )

Miami gets: Wiggins, Kuzma, Smart, and Payton II
    Golden St gets: Butler
Washington gets: Kuminga and K Anderson
    Memphis gets: Rozier

Smart / Payton
Herro / Robinson
Wiggins / Highsmith / JJJ
Kuzma / Jovic
Bam / Love / Ware

This may be the best to keep salary cap flexibility. Almost every other option from teams with a young prospect includes taking on some long term salary which I have been told they don’t want to do unless they love the player so much.

Memphis does have ability to trade their 1st rounders so hopefully you can grab 2-3 of them in this move

Butler is one of the top players in this league still when he wants to be. A team vying for the playoffs or a deep run will know they are getting a scorched earth Jimmy ready to prove Riley wrong. I would be shocked if Jimmy sits out the whole year here and i’ll probably never hear the end of it from Twix. Rest assured though if he does get traded………..

Our Culture helped Jimmy be understood & feel completely at home. Those days are forgotten now that he can’t get his $$

Heat dont want any new money unless its for a top tier player..

My guess is we end up with contracts that expire by this upcoming offseason and no later than 2026 offseason and some protected firsts.

We arent going to get Fox. That id bet anything on

He’s a matching salary for the trade to work. Maybe you should try the trade machine and learn how cap dynamics work. You are on a site called RealGm after all that essentially introduced the trade checker to us simpletons.
