I dont really understand why you are feeding that dude. Hes a troll.

Some of it so ridiculous it's hard not to. It's like a guy with a hot girlfriend talking about wishing he was dating a supermodel. Many teams would gratefully take Spo as a coach, including the GSW.

A lot of people on RealGM find him annoying on commentary. I loved Mark Jackson as a play by play guy, especially when he would day "mama there goes that man" for LeBron & D. Wade & "hand down, man down". Mark Jackson was completely unbiased on pbp & i'll listen to him over Hubie Brown & Mike Tirico any day of the week easily
For real it was awesome when Wade would pull off a great play and you would here Jackson's patented "mama there goes that man"

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
Spo has had LeBron, Wade and Bosh in their relative prime. That's a good start for not missing any playoffs.
Listen, I am not going to argue over if Spo is the best coach or not for this team with you. I had zero intention of doing so when I used his picture for something (that I don't even remember) in this thread.
I have never participated in or even read Spo bashing threads so I don't know what's been said already (I can guess), but I'm sure it's getting old so I have no intention of beating a dead horse.
I said I like him, I admitted that his team won previous 2 championships, so go after other Sop haters for this discussion because I am not really one of them.

Hey, for the record, I don't think he is a bad coach. I don't think he is one of the best coaches, though by a long shot. I think he can do a lot lot better with what he has. Give this team to any coach in the league, and I can't think of too many coaches that may do worse. Maybe Scott Brooks. I do actually like Spo as a coach and a person.. I think he is (intentionally or not) hilarious.![]()
That is just a bunch of crap based on pure self-serving speculation. Spo has never missed the playoffs in his career, has been to the NBA finals in the 3 seasons with the Big 3 and won 2 championships. That is a total of 12 playoffs series wins out of 13 (counting this season against Charlotte) since the Big 3. So you are saying that another coach would've won 13 out 13? Really? Why don't I take swing at speculating and say that no other coach could've won 12 out of 13 like Spo. Sounds stupid, right?
Give a man credit where credit is due. Why is it so hard for people to accept that NOBODY is perfect and appreciate the job a person does. The stakes were high for Spo from the beginning and he has responded. What else do you want from the man before stopping with the mockery. It is tiring.
I know some of you want the Heat to go 82-0 every season because we have LeBron. That is just unrealistic. We have great players but basketball is still about competition. Not even Jordan went 82-0 with Phil Jackson.

So kind of started laughing when I noticed the picture Wiretap used on the article about Mark Jackson being fired.

Great picture choice, it's like he is applauding his own firing!

Dammt this is twice KD made me sad. Loss in the Finals and now his MVP speech. The way he stuck up for Russ, wow. And his mom. Damn man...
I am a massive KD fan now...Except when he faces us.

And about the whole PG and Hibbert stuff, I just wanted to know what the deal was because it's getting around. If it isn't true, then it isn't true. I don't buy much stock into rumors but if that happened, then it could explain the disarray among them. I hope it isn't true though.

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
I think GSW made a big mistake firing Jackson. Hopefully they can replace him with someone that can still reach out to the younger players on that team. A bit unfair to fire him IMO since their best big man went down.

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
The Warriors will be fine, they can plug any cerebral coach and get results with that squad, but he would be inheriting players that Mark developed.
From what it sounds to me is they're looking for a more stricter coach, an authority figure, that will hold the players accountable, hence why SVG is one of the guys on the list. SVG is a great coach but I'm not sure everyone is mature enough for his style. We know Dwight wasn't mature enough for his style despite having his best years under him.

MJ is trash. Hes a good preacher and seems like a player friendly. You need more than that to be a coach tbh.
