Many posters fall in love with guys who can't hit layups and make them untouchable in trades, but wanted badly to ship out a 21 year old kid with all star potential. Welcome to the Heat Forum!
I said this lol. If he was giving 8ppg with the same stats otherwise we'd hear about potential. 15ppg at 21 and he's a finished product.

There are small rumblings as to why KZ & Haslem were kept over Smart & Potter.

Hopefully We keep Smart and Potter the entire year in skyforce, bring them up as 10 days when needed and they prove they belong on the roster next year.

I think both could kinda help in some games even now tbh.

If we werent so tax averse, this would be a guy who I'd love if we took a flyer on with that open 15th spot.

I'd take a run at Giles/Tyrell Terry but no space for that.

Mainly because we gave KZ and Haslam guaranteed contracts. The team isn't going to pay out their contracts just so we can add those guys to the end of the roster. We chose to go with Caleb Martin and Marcus Garrett for our two 2-way contracts we are allowed on the team which I think was the right choice.

The other guys likely joining our G-League squad so its possible we revisit them at a later date, but they are also able to get picked up by someone else now.

Dante Exum and Kris Dunn both waived. I’d take either of those guys over Gabe any day.

Wish we’d just cut bait and make the switch.

People love to hate on Gabe but I have more faith in him starting to hit his shots then frigging Exum learning how to shot after 6 years in the league.

Both these guys have proven nothing but a tendency to be injured and having no NBA offensive skills.

Both these guys are likely to get 10days deals later in the season, we're allowed to give each guy 2 of those deals before needing to convert him to a standard contact. Meaning both those guys could probably play around 7 games each with the real team, if they look worthy in the GLeague.

Honestly I feel pretty confident Potter can play a bench role right now and not kill us. It's not like Morris is some 2 way stud.

I believe both players and their agents are well aware of the course Duncan/Gabe took before they got their guaranteed contracts.

Just watched the Celtics game. The most post of plays i have ever seen for Butler and Bam in that one game than iv seen in one season. Which I am really excited about but hopefully its not aberration. If Bam and Butler perfect the post game in this system this would be a game changer to the offense.

Also it was good to see Bam take jumpers even thou he missed them. He should of been taking them throughout the season so he can perfect the touch. Hopefully he continues the aggressiveness, being versatile when the season starts so hopefully by game 15 he has his game down pack.

Tyler Herro off season training has paid off. It appears he got his 3 pt and mid range game on point and that is what will make him a high level player. 51 FG% And 44 3FG% at the end of preseason is a good sign his jumper will carry through the regular season.

Really excited with this team, hopefully they can stay relatively healthy. They have the ability to be versatile on offense and defense. Don't have to see them run the same play over and over again.

Bam was 1 of 6 on jump shots in the Celtics game. All good shots. If he knocks down a good percentage that was an easy 20 plus point game. Also he only took 12 fga. I want him averaging a minimum of 15 fga. 5 of 15 a game should be jumpers.

If he does this he will easily average more than 20 a game which should be the minimum of pts per from him. Anything under 20 should be considered a bad game.

Heavy. I hope for Vic's sake that he takes his time and feels 100% this go around.

People are sleeping on how big an addition he will be if he's back to himself. Even a 75% of old Vic will be a huge addition for the stretch run.

Kevin Huerter 4ys 65 mil sounds more reasonable than DRob's but Rob is the better shooter (not sure about anything else).

Huerter may have gotten more on the open market. Pretty solid player.

Yeah ATL got a great deal he's a nice sidekick to the Lolipop Hair though that's a mighty noodle defense backcourt.
