RJ Barrett - same age as Herro, averaged slightly less points on worse efficiency. Also has a lower assist/turnover ratio.

I'm not buying this whole 'Barrett is a substantially better asset than Herro' narrative. It's bs, and it's being spurred around just because it's the Knicks. If the roles were reversed and Tyler was in NY and RJ was in Miami, they'd be saying how Barret isn't as good of an asset as Herro.

"But Herro struggled in the playoffs so he's not as good!" - ANDDD Barrett has never once played a single ounce of meaningful basketball in his career, outside of the 1st round of series against the Hawks last season, when the Knicks lost in 5 and RJ averaged a whopping 14ppg on 38% shooting.

One player has been to the finals and the ECF in his first three seasons, and the other hasn't made it out of the first round (and lost in devastating fashion the sole time he made it there).

The whole narrative is bs. Put Herro on a bottom feeder like the Knicks and he probably averages 23-25ppg lol.

It's because the Knicks would hype up every mediocre prospect and their solids are untouchable. We **** on our good ones. Let the Lakers fanbase tell it, THT is next Wade a d you can't tell them different.

RJ Barrett must be a pretty good defender because otherwise it makes zero sense that teams would value him higher than Herro. They're both 22yo, both having played 3 seasons (Barrett actually has more NBA offseasons tho cause Herro essentially missed one after the bubble Finals) and Herro is already a much better offensive player. They both cracked the 20ppg threshold last season but their efficiency is levels apart

The average TS% for SGs last season was 55.2%

Herro was 56.1% on 45/40/87 splits

Barrett was 51.1% on 41/34/71 splits

*btw Mitchell was 57.2% on 45/36/85 splits

Herro, while being a skilled offensive player he's also a loose cannon. It's one thing to miss a shot, everyone does, it's another to put up a very low percentage shot especially when you've been off all game. Coaches like to make the decisions and with that, they like to know a player will try to make the right play, not take a shot you take on a playground.

This shot is from a 5 of 23 shooting game for Herro, there is ZERO reason to put up this shot if you care about winning. If it was at the end of the shot clock or Miami needed to catch up I can kind of understand but this wasn't one of those situations and there's zero rebounders for Miami if/when he missed. It's plays like this that makes me wonder if this will happen in a highly important game and cost the team a win.

Said all Randy’s golf stuff is decked out with Heat logos

Um that was from the 2021 season. If it's so easy to find these plays I'd think you wouldn't have to reach to a completely different season

He's a 22yo SG, I'm sure there's plays in his career where his shot selection might be questionable. Just as there are for virtually every 22yo SG in NBA history

Exactly! As long as we get him Bam and Jimmy together we’re getting 1 worst case if they don’t get hurt.

I just wish he would’ve asked him what the trade was looking like in detail so we had a better idea of what was going out. Sounds like this is going to wrap up soon like ICC was saying
