I just stopped by here looking to see some of the folks from the old watering hole, waiting for this comment to rear its ugly head once again...

C Vucevic
PF Bam
SF Highsmith
SG Herro
PG Butler

That lineup should be able to hide Vucevic defensively while we are actually able to board on both ends and offer some semblance of deterrence down low.

Robinson and Rozier are heading to Chicago for Vucevic and Ball imo so no need to worry about Duncan’s defense with that group

Robinson is not going anywhere.

If the heat remain at 500 at the end of January, I could see them cut more salary space.

Bulls fans saying they want Ware but the podcaster smartly shoots that down. Sounds like they are receptive to Rozier and of course Robinson as the contract attachment. Honestly sounds like they would be thrilled to get someone like Jovic for him as the attachment. If they want Ware then we need a 1st rd pick back in return like the podcaster smartly states once again.

Is this all based on the “NBA trade reports” tweet that was sent?

Yes it got people talking like that fake Shams report of Butler to the Suns. For a fake report it does make sense though and the pieces are there for a deal unlike the provocative ESPN time filler Shams story lol

Damn that’s unfortunate, that guys just posts a bunch of nonsense every year that doesn’t happen. I wouldn’t mind seeing that actually play out but I’d doubt that’s the case and if we really wanted to see Bam at PF my guess is we would’ve at least played some spot minutes there next to love ware or Bryant at some point

For the chance at dumping Rozier we really need to look into this. There’s not many 3 point shooting bigs out there that can also score and rebound at a high rate like Vucevic making 20 million that we can get so cheaply. Some folks in here want filet mignon on a Mc D’s asset budget.

Yea I think he would help a lot tbh and take some of the pressure off Bam rebounding and bring in the paint defensively and things like that. He’s also one of the better passing bigs in the league and if we’re not going to start a PG (would change if we got Ball but I don’t see Duncan being traded as he’s been integral to our best offensive seasons) then we need playmakers who can also score themselves

Mostly all these reports are fake even the high end reporter ones. But some of these rumors and reports actually do make sense and it’s good to talk about the validity of it actually happening. Heat are suffering from a size and scoring problem in the front court. Vucevic solves two of those issues with his skill set. Is he perfect? Absolutely not but look at those box scores and i have a hard time seeing how he’s not an upgrade over anything we’ve been throwing out there with Bam in the front court. He also gives us a great option for buckets down low when Bam is off the court.

Vucevic has been rumored for years, ICC said he was coming, “not Adam” said we had heavy interest years ago and so did the Greg guy you all said used to post here that just backpacks every report now. Maybe this truly is their time to shine

A Vucevic with Ball (unlikely with I think the importance of Duncan as stated) or Carter/Craig could be good for us. Craig fits exactly what Spo loves and Carter is basically just another Dru Smith who’s a scrappy defender and can knock down the 3. Carter and Craig are Heat guys, Vucevic is a talent you try to make work. He’s killed us for years, even with the big 3 when the Magic were ass he single handedly made the games competitive lol I would imagine we have great respect for him

Hey you don’t have to convince me I’ve been on the Vuc train! I like the dynamic he would bring to this team, I’ve mentioned him a few times in this thread and the last at minimum, I’m all for it especially for Terry/Jovic

Crazy how Vucevic chits on us every year but some will nit pick the notion of him on the Heat to death even while he’s dropping 30/20 on us and some how Spo failing to exploit the supposed death knell defensive crutch he brings lol.

Vucevic always seems to be highly functional when he plays Miami.

I am for anything that adds size to Miami, I am sooo over small ball.

Back when small ball put a highly functional but undersized PF on the floor...it at least made some sense, but it has been some time since we have seen some random mid-level SF turn into a really decent PF.

Return to Miami Heat
