Turiaf wants to come back but not at the minimum. What tosh! doeshe think he's worth wasting the 3m on?

Allen isn't either.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Loved Turiafs energy on the bench. Other than that he didnt contribute at all. If he wants more than 1mil a year then hes a nut.

Varnado can take his spot and offer true shot blocking and defense.

Wonder whos on the way out next.

A two year contract for Ray would be good for both parties. His shooting is second to none.

The Heat, according to sources, have made Allen their prime offseason target and will pursue him strongly when free agency opens Sunday at 12:01 a.m. ET.
They intend to offer him their $3 million mini-mid-level exception, a chance to win another title and significant playing time as they continue with the plan to play LeBron James as a power forward in the future. Heat players, including James and Dwyane Wade, have been publicly and privately recruiting Allen over the last month.

If Ray signs with us, we don't have to worry about losing close games from the free throw line anymore.

He was obviously ailing during the playoffs. Seriously ailing.

He's as close to a sure thing as they come from the FT strike.

Boston is dumb. KG may have a year left, maybe two, but certainly not three and not for that price. But you're right, if ray allen signs with them, then they've basically got the same team as last year only a year older. They'll have bradley back though, that'll help them. Clearly we can make a good run at the championship with this same team if we have to...I really wanted us to get someone that could give James and Wade a breather next run down. I guess we can hope for big things from the continued development of Pittman, Cole, and maybe Harris.

The rest of the league is definitely looking a little scarier. But if Wade comes back in great shape, healthy, having worked on his shot and stuff, I think we'll be way more dangerous than last year.

Someone will take the 3 mil. Could be ray, jamal crawford, chris kaman. An impact guy will take it.

let's also hope that Mike Miller gets healthy. I want him to participate training camp with a healthy back. Back injuries are the worst that a human being could sustain.

@christomasson: Mavs guard Jason Terry just wrote in an email to me he "definitely'' will consider the Miami Heat when free agency starts Sunday.

With Ronny out, all Dex has to do is beat Joel at training camp for the starting job.

Dex, at least be able to do that.

I was mistaken, I thought KG was smart, I was wrong. KG made a huge mistake signing with a team that might not even make the playoffs next year, but hey at least you have now made more than anyone in NBA History. Now that being said, I would assume that on July 10th around 11 AM we'll probably have the Ray Allen press conference to welcome him to South Beach. Why would he ever go back to the Celtics? He can actually start here if Bron moves to PF full time, plus even if its as a sixth man at least he wouldn't be insulted by playing behind a better player like D-Wade. Avery Bradley hasn't done anything in the league to earn a starting job in Boston. They can load up with Flab Melo (Academically Ineligible may I add during the NCAA Tournament), and Jared "Bulging D*cks" (as Andy Katz mentioned) Sullinger. I'm really scared of those additions, hell we had a better draft then the Celtics, at least we can use that roster room on someone who will help us now and we have a sure fire lottery pick for next year since Philly is a joke. Look we sign Ray and a repeat is assured, no one can beat us and I trust Pat Riley to give the Greatest Player of All Time enough talent around him again to lead us to another title.

Assuming Kaman will be out of our price range, I'd definitely look into Terry first and Crawford second if Ray Allen opts elsewhere. Nice to know The Jet is interested knowing our cap situation and the max we can offer him.

If you don't think the celtics are making the playoffs next year you're sadly mistaken

Rondo
Mayo/Bradley
Pierce/Green
Bass/Sullinger
Kg/wilcox/Melo

and they could make a trade for josh smith thats a playoff team, And the philly pick will be in the teens somewhere
