Was just thinking over teams in my head that may have a vet in his last year. Just checked, he's making 12 mil I believe and is in his final year. Might be used as trade bait for a team looking for caproom. Vets like that often get bought out.

lukekarts - would be good idea if you could open a thread regarding all Heat financial issues (TV deal, luxury tax, cap limitations, total income/deficit..etc).

One thing i can say right now is - Riley and Micky are well aware of the situation and are planning ahead. one move i expect us to make is re-structure any contracts we can (including the ones with a player options for 14/15) to soften the tax blow.

We're in a tight spot but we have some room for maneuver, and a smart good owner.

Jefferson is still a good player and will get more than vet min or mini MLE.

Bosh should be used in the post more to relieve LeBron some stretches. His midrange game will still be a great weapon. So much spacing on the court for LeBron and D Wade with Bosh, Allen, and Lewis on the court.

Not sure if we'll actually sign him like that one tweet said, but we're definitely working him out. Most recently played for the Rockets/Raptors before going to Greece during the lockout.

Fits the Heat mold, tough..big...very good rebounder...better defensively. Plus he has a few flashy dunks for a big man. Only problem is height, he's an undersized big (6'9"). Seems like a Riley type of guy. Let's see what happens.
